Just to clarify - DOMS is normally the result of doing something your muscles are unfamiliar with (either a completely new activity, or going significantly harder/longer than your usually do). DOMS is NOT an injury.
You should be able to differentiate between the generalized dull soreness and stiffness of DOMS, versus the sharper pain of a muscle or tendon strain.
I don't like the "I cannot walk or sit" pain because to me that means you've overdone and caused injury. But I LOVE that feeling of using a muscle group correctly...so yes, I'm a DOMS fan. Maybe DOMS is the new endorphins?

I also like the soreness. I've recently started a new routine and didn't realize how some of my muscles weren't being worked. I was sore for 3 days and was walking like I had wood pegs for legs.

Ruby - DOMS = Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness.
I was thinking about this earlier. I don't like feeling a lot of muscle pain, as that's a sign you're over doing it. Not to mention it can keep you from working out for a few days if it's that bad, and can throw off your routine. However, I do like a little soreness. It feels like my muscles have been worked, and I pushed myself. To me it's a sign that the muscles I'm trying to hard to improve are being activated, and used in my workouts. I know everyone's different, but that's how I feel about it. Plus it feels so good stretching those sore muscles out when I do yoga.
I don't mind a slight achiness after a workout, but i like feeling energetic and loose, not being in pain or feeling tight. Pain inhibits muscle strength (according to studies) and that just doesn't appeal to me to be in a state of reduced strength and reduced activity. I judge the effectiveness of my workouts by the workouts themselves, not how much i hurt after. But if you like being in pain, just take 10 days off of exercise.

I don't mind the DOMs that last a day or even two. I can definitely do without the DOMs that leaves me crippled for 5+ days. That happened to me after my very first kick boxing class. I'd hadn't done squats in years. Needless to say, I had to hold on the handrails when trying to walk up or down stairs.
Luckily, I've been active enough on a regular basis that any DOMs I get now only lasts a day or two at worst.

I like it, but sometimes after 14 years of working out, I wish I could have ONE day where my entire body is 100% free of pain or tightness.
It's not like I'm a walking ball of pain all the time, but some muscle is ALWAYS tired or sore and I forget what it's like to be without that feeling.
Definitely like the feeling of having done a good workout.
But for me, DOMS is not something to be afraid of, but it is a sign my training hasn't been up to what I want to achieve, and that I need to tweak my training program. I was delighted to complete a recent 120 mile bike ride without getting DOMS the next day - a sign my training program was up to the task.

Who *likes* DOMS?
I'm sure some will think I'm crazy, but it makes me happy to feel that soreness 24-48 hours after my yoga class (it's usually closer to 48 for me, but anyway). I know I am always doing good things for my body even when I don't get sore, but I just love knowing I've pushed my muscles to do something they aren't used to. It makes me feel like ! I've even come to like the way this particular soreness feels.
I never thought I would ever say that I actually enjoy any type of pain!
