My measurements are similar but I have had to buy all new clothes so I am happy about that and the sizes range depending on style and cut. I can now wear a size 6, 8 or 10 in pants and a small or medium in shirts. I am very thankful for finally having some clothes that actually fit. Thanks for the encouragement. I am not giving up.
Don't give up! If you keep working on exercising and eating right, the last few pounds will eventually let go. You're doing great! Have you taken any measurements over the past few months, or do your clothes fit better? Maybe your measurements have changed while your weight stayed the same? Those last five pounds can be the most stubborn, but they can be overcome.

I have been working at losing weight for the past year and a half. I am soooo close to my goal. I have been at a stand still for the past several months. I continue to change things up and try to get off those last 4 pounds. This past year was a challenge with my Dad passing away and my own family having some medical issues. I do however believe that I have to take time for me each day with my walks and my workouts no matter what is going on in our lives. I have finally given myself permission to take care of myself as well as my family. Things that I have learned from sparkpeople are: The support of spark friends and family are important. Without them cheering behind me some days would be tougher than other days. I have learned that being honest with yourself is also an important step. You have to want to change for yourself as well as for your health. I have learned that I cannot feel guilty about taking care of me. I am a much better person for it because I have take the time to exercise and am eating right. Finding sparkpeople has enriched my life and I do tell many of my friends and family about it. A huge thank you to all my spark friends and family!
