I use almond milk in my tea and coffee instead of cow's milk. We use it with cereal. Use it with baking. Use it to make pancakes.

Make sure you get the UNSWEETENED - the sweetened flavors have too much sugar!

Oh My! Please don't go back to Cow's Milk. Almond Milk is the best thing in Dairy ever made. It's very versatile. You can use it in place of Cow's Milk. I'm lactose intolerant. I really don't care for Soy Milk unless it's Vanilla but most times I get Alomond Milk. I use Almond Milk in Cereal, Smoothies, to make Waffles, Coffee. It's endless!

With my high cholesterol - Almond Milk had been a "life" saver =)! Not a fan of soy - but I use the Almond milk in my cereal, smoothies and everyday cooking. I made pancakes with it last weekend and they turned out fluffy and yummy!

Thanks for all the ideas. I didn't know you could cook with it so may try that the next time we cook something that requires milk.

So you can actually add it (not the vanilla flavored version of course) to mashed potatoes too?

I am lactose intolerant. It is the same price as lactose-free milk and is a different choice. I drink it straight as part of my Spark food plan. The one I just bought is 40 calories/cup and the carbs are much lower than cow's milk.

Green Monster Smoothie:
1 cup spinach
1 cup almond milk
1 banana
Ice and Stevia

It literally tastes like a peanut butter milkshake. I find that it boosts my energy level too!

I just bought my first almond milk (vanilla) this past weekend, as well as coconut milk. So far I've only tried drinking them. Thanks for starting this thread, wonderful ideas so far.

I use it instead of cow's milk in everything. One thing to remember about almond, soy, rice etc. milk is that some use sweetners for the flavored varieties. I use Blue Diamond which comes in an unsweetened vanilla flavor. (The vanilla is subtle enough that I made mashed potatoes recently with it and no one noticed.)

I drink it straight. I really do prefer cow milk, but the almond milk is 60 calories vs. 90 in skim milk. I go back and forth because I miss cow milk.

I have used in the place in milk in general. I don't like the taste of plain white milk, but I will drink almond milk plain.

I don't drink dairy milk so I use it for whatever one would normally use milk for. It's good in smoothies too.

it's good in oatmeal and I like it in cold cereal as well. But I do make smoothies and use it there too

Anything that requires milk, I replace with almond milk. So far works great for everything except pudding.

Make your oatmeal with it. I put it in tea as well.

Stats: Female, 5'4", 28 years old.

Goal: From 152 (07/24/2011) to 125 by December, 2011. DONE! December 4th weighed in at 124. In 2012 I've been maintaining around 122, which is a thirty pound loss. My BMI has gone from 26.1 to 20.9 since following the Spark plan!

I also have some almond milk in my pantry. I also got on a great sale and thought it sounded healthy, but haven't figured out what to do with it. I bought a box of rice milk too and that is one the shelf right next to the almond milk waiting for me to come up with a good idea!

I got a few cartons of almond milk recently (plain and vanilla) for cheap when a store in our area had super double coupons but need to know how to use it.

I know you can add it to your cereal, drink it plain or add something like chocolate syrup (what my husband did) to it, but wondered if anyone had other ideas?

I'm not a smoothie person, so probably wouldn't make anything like that.
