I grew up in a meat and potatoes house, too. As I have grown older I have also lost my taste for meat. Like you I am not opposed to it, but I am just lacking the taste for it. I get most of my proteins from fish, eggs, cheese, and beans. I still eat meat occasionally, but it is a rare occurrence. I don't miss it.

Burgers are too greasy for me, I can't eat those anymore. I find myself making more fish or vegetarian meals. Like you, I grew up with meat at every meal, I just don't need to have meat with every meal anymore, it's not that I don't like it. Sometimes if nothing is defrosted or if I have nothing, I make a grain (barley, farro, quinoa) with vegetables, and I add canned salmon or maybe chic peas or beans? It's hearty and delicious! And I make enough for lunch the next day. I do try to have steak at least once a week or once every 2 weeks for the iron.

I have not lost my taste for meat, but I care about it a whole lot less than I used to. My only advice is, if it doesn't taste good to you don't eat it, but do make sure you get a good supply of amino acids from other protein sources, eggs, dairy, fish, and legumes.
I grew up in a house that included meat with every meal. These last few months, I have slowly been losing my taste for meat. It's not that I won't eat it, or have moral objections to it, I'm just slowly losing my taste for it. I don't really know why. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
