Hi and welcome! I quit smoking after getting severe pneumonia early this year. When I got out of the hospital it was very hard to stick with it. I also started on Wellbutrin after I got home to help me from freaking out and smoking again! It helped stop the cravings but I still had the behaviors to deal with. I smoked for over 35 years so they are really practiced behaviors! I decided to use an e-cig rather than start smoking again and it helped. I used it less and less. Good luck to you! I wish you lots of success! It is worth the struggle!

My husband and I both quit smoking a year ago and after trying, and failing, with natural approaches we both finally decided we needed desperate help to quit. After visiting our doctor he prescribed Welbutrin. We both found that quitting was made MUCH easier with the use of the medication. After a week on the meds we found we simply didn't need it anymore. It's crazy but a year later and we never went back. I'm not saying there aren't days we don't think about smoking, but frankly we don't miss it. Hope this helps!

I have recently quit smoking 93 days smokefree :) I initially used Chantix for 4 weeks, and then that was it. I do go to a support group that my Health plan has, I go every Thursday and it is so helpful, I don't think I would have come this far without them. Good luck and stay strong. I chew a lot of sugarless gum too emoticon

Every one has some advice but only you can do it. I also smoked for years and years then one day I decided that I wanted to live and see my grandchildren grow up and I knew that smoking was not going to let me do it. I really enjoyed smoking but I love my grand kids. I told everyone how easy it was going to be for me, just go ahead and watch how easy it would be. I know my ego and I know that I didn't want anyone grinning when I failed. I set them up to watch me and there was no way I was going to let them laugh when I failed. I didn't fail and you want either, it's not easy but it can be done. I didn't use any medicine just my ego and my friends. My prayers are with you.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to quit smoking. I am 36 years old and I have been smoking for 25 years. I am trying not to use any drugs. If anyone has any natural ways of quitting that you can share with me, I would greatly appreciate it.
