I stand at the front desk. There aren't any chairs whatsoever. Even though my schedule is all over the place I at least get off at 3:30 today and will be home in time to make it to a Zumba class tonight.
If you are having trouble making it to the gym and spend most of your time seated at the front desk, it might be worth investing in a mini cycle (mini exercise bike) that you can hide under the desk. Some of them run for around $50-$100.

I just wanted to add my support. I work in a doctor's office (psychiatrist/psychologists) and have exactly the same kind of schedule you do. I am the only employee. Regardless of what the law might say about breaks, they are not built in to everybody's schedule. I have to time my bathroom breaks to when no patients are checking in or out and hope that the phone doesn't ring while I'm gone.
BUT...it is possible for me to eat a large, yet healthy, breakfast at 6:30 and last until my lunch at 12:30. And ditto for the afternoon stretch. My meals might be larger than someone who's eating 2-3 snacks a day, but I just do 3 meals a day and, for the most part, I omit the snacks. Sometimes I will carry a baggie with one serving of raw, unsalted almonds in case I get hungry before the end of the day, because I can have a few of those kind of "on the sly," and they really help stave off hunger. Keep your food healthy, don't skimp on protein, fiber, and healthy fat at mealtimes, and stay within your calorie range, and you'll still lose.
My advice is to look for another reason you're not losing weight. Six hours between meals is absolutely and completely normal-- MOST people eat breakfast around six, lunch around noon, and dinner sometime after 6. Drinking water is a healthy habit for various reasons but has very little to do with weight loss. The only way it affects weight is by substituting for snacking, so if you don't have time to snack, it's a non-issue.
Your nutrition log isn't public, so we can't help you analyse it, but that's where the answer is. You've changed what you eat. As Becky said, plan your meals and take something healthy so you're not making hasty decisions at lunchtime, and be sure to be meticulous in your logging so that you're not overcompensating by having extra snacks after work because you think you didn't eat enough during the day. In fact, you probably should be using it as a planner, not a tracker-- every night, input what you plan to eat for meals the next day, check to see that they're balanced, and then stick to that plan. (It saves you money as well as calories because it helps you use up the food you've already bought and keeps you from impulse-buying expensive last-minute lunches or snacks.)
If this resort job is replacing a desk job, you would have LOST weight if you hadn't somehow changed the total amount you're eating. Being on your feet, even if it's at a counter, burns calories that add up. (If you're not standing, start. Put away the chair and stand at that counter; you'll look more attentive and get job-performance brownie points as well as losing weight!)
According to your profile you're in California, and 10 minute breaks are NOT optional for the employer! You are legally entitled to that 10 minutes! Surely management can cover your position for 10 minutes twice a day, so you can drink water, have a healthy snack, and use the facilities.
So my solution would start with saying "I'll be taking my 10 minute break at 9:30, so please be here to cover the desk."
There is nothing dangerous (or harmful to your weight loss) with having a 6 hour spread between meals---as long as you are not feeling hunger, light headed, dizzy, difficultly focusing, etc. Since you will probably be more hunger at the noon meal, be sure to plan and have a healthy meal ready to go. If you are just grabbing whatever is available, you may be more tempted to eat more unhealthy type foods and more calories.
The same holds true for water consumption. Enter your job hydrated and hydrate again with your lunch meal. If you are feeling thirst, and signs of dehydration---then talk to your manager!!!
I just started a new job six weeks ago. I work the front desk at a resort, so I never get my 10 minute breaks and I rarely can leave to go to the bathroom because we're always so busy. Ever since I started work I haven't lost any weight. I hardly drink any water and I go six hours without eating. For example, I'll have breakfast at 5:30 a.m. and then I won't eat again until my lunch at 11:30 a.m. Obviously this isn't healthy and it's not helping with my weight loss goal. How can I fix this? I'm afraid if I drink lots of water I'll have to keep going to the bathroom and won't be able to get away and go. Also, I can't eat at the front desk, so snacking during that six hour period doesn't work. There has to be a solution. It's bad enough I'm not able to go to the gym as much as before. Please help!
