Please remember that the A1C test measures red cells exposed to glucose over a relatively long time span: "each A1C cell has a lifespan of about 4 months, your A1C sample will include cells that are a few days, a few weeks and a few months old. As a result, the test covers a span of about 2 to 3 months." So don't despair if it doesn't fall as rapidly as you hope--especially if your hard work to correct the situation has been relatively recent.

Trust that you ARE doing the right things; above all talk with your doctor about what you are doing and what will be best for you!!

Will be crossing my fingers for a good result --now and in your future!

I know exactly how you feel! My A1C is 10.1. I was just diagnosed in Feb 2013 with Type 2. This is a whole new ball game! I wish you the best of luck. No doubt you will see some results with all your hard work. Know that you are not alone. I and others are out here wishing you good things!
