I beleive that in the case of most off the shelf scales, there can be a +/- 2 lb reading on any given day or minute. We have to look down the long rroad and look at trends over time. That is why I cart weight in Excell to I can use the trend function to get a look at the progress (or lack thereof) on a daily basis.

As was said below, the body has its reasons for taking time and this isn't bad.
I highly suggest looking at the food and exercise logs of someone that has had success. I've been doing this and learning so much. I've still had plateaus, but it gives me more ideas of how to keep on the path.
Just remember when the scale isn't making progress your mind still is - keep logging and learning!

It's only been one week ! While a safe weekly weight loss would be 1-2 pounds per week, there may be weeks you don't lose. There may even be weeks you gain ! And that doesn't mean you're doing something wrong. The weight doesn't magically drop off the minute we decide we need to lose. This isn't the Biggest Loser. Those types of dramatic weekly losses are just not typical.
So, don't assume something is wrong because you only lost .2 pounds. Weight loss really IS a slow steady process that takes time. You didn't gain the weight overnight, it's not coming off overnight.
Patience, it's a virtue.

that must be very frustrating. think of the positive. you didn't gain weight. your weight goes up and down during the month. I have about a 4 pound swing during the month.
you are trying to change your lifestyle, it isn't something that happens over night. if there are times you can't track, maybe try tracking things like water drank and servings of veggies ate on paper. That way you can see something positive.
