LHAAS8, like so many of us, you eventually learned that Sparkpeople is the way, the truth, and the light when it comes to eating less and moving more. I congratulate you for coming back to Sparkpeople. It is truly the one and only sane way to go. Have a wonderful new year.
Before new years last year, I made 2 resolutions. 1, to quick smoking. 2, to get fit and healthy. the quitting smoking was easy at first because I was so focused on the diet that I didn't have time to smoke. I had used spark people before but I didn't really stick with it. After buying The Spark, The Cookbook, the DVDs, and checking in every day, I lost 40lbs!! I had to get through some tough situations. I started on the Atkins diet and along with that program, I bought all the books and info I could get my hands on. I lost a lot of weight but my hair started falling out so I quickly went back to Spark. The most important thing Atkins taught me was how to diet. I always assumed things and I thought I knew better but I didn't. Mid-year I hit my plateau and I was irate. After consulting with people on Spark, I learned that I needed to bump up the workouts and eat better. I am proud to say I am 40lbs down and I'm in a size 8. I've NEVER been a size 8! Thank you for everything Sparkpeople, I couldn't have done it without you!!!
