Well here we are at the end of another week..
I will finish week 4 up today..right now I am at 4 miles..but still have a couple hours ahead of me to log more in..
I will just update what I have so far.

I know I am getting hooked on walking, it is really relaxing, and I find that I can do alot of thinking while I am walking.
Today was a bit scarey..I met this girl walking her baby and her dog on the other side of the street, she had a pit-bull (not to give them a bad name or anything) but she literally had to stop walking and grab his collar and hold unto him..and almost pulled her into the street..I am sorry but I hate those dogs..they are just too scarey for me.

Well anyway, I just kept moving forward, not wanting to look back, because if he got away I did not want to know about it until I got attacked..running could make things worse..you just should not walk a dog like that..one day she may not be able to control him.

Okay on with why I am here..time to update..
Starting next week I will just start with week 5 and leave off the other 4 weeks..

I have lost 4 pounds in 3 weeks, and have logged over 70 miles.
I am heading into week 4 today, and I have a goal for getting to Virginia within 3 weeks, (you will have to see my blog to see the distance for that)
I am just stopping by to update my stats for the walk so far!

I think I had a pretty good week this past week!
Getting ready to head into week 3 of my virtual walk, and felt the need to copy and paste my stats in another post..
I will just edit for the month of October, then more than likely copy and paste again for November.
I have logged a total of 44 miles in 2 weeks, with a loss of 2.8 pounds, so that rounds to about a pound and a half per week.

Walking is good exercise, and a great way to start a new exercise program, alot of people seem to just jump right into a program, it becomes to hard to keep up, and they burn and out real quick and just stop doing any exercise.
I know I have been there, but I am going to take it on a different approach this time.

I am going to walk the Appalachain trail, starting in Georgia and work my way up to Maine, that is a total trip of 2173 miles.
Right now I just working to see how far I can get by the end of the year, I am about to hit Tennessee, but would like to get out of Virginia by December 31..so that is my goal.

You are more than welcome to join me on this journey, or you can pick your own destination, but if you plan on joining, please just choose your destination along with the miles and just come and update by hitting the edit button at the bottom of your post.
It will make much easier for those who join to find their post and keep it updated.

This is a great way to see how well you are doing, and to see the miles racking up, keeps you moving, it motivates you to try and improve a little more each week.

Have fun with it, and I can't wait to see where everyone wants to go.

Patty

PS: I am going to post my full stats, I am in week 2 now, but wanted to share this with others in the event they wanted to get a walking program going.
