How is everyone doing? As of Tuesday I was at 268 and hope to be at 265 by tomorrow. Maybe that's a little much to ask, but I can dream can't I?

I am with you on no crash diets. I belive that these yo yo diets are not helpful at all because you will lose the weight but then a few months later that will all come back.I had problems before. I started sparkpeople back in 2006 and I took off 32 pounds and then I got pregnant with my last child and it all came back again because I was not watching what I was doing during the pregnancy so now I am trying to get back to a healthy lifestyle and I am sticking to it this time because I am not having anymore children. I figure now is the time to focus on me and my weight.

Here is what I do daily so that I stay on track.
* In home walk 6 miles a day and gradually bump that up.
* ST twice a week(this one needs work)
* Track everything that I eat no matter how big or small it is.
* make sure to get on sparkpeople once a day.

I do find that the weeks that I do track every single thing that I do I have a much easier time losing the weight during the week. Also I find that having someone to talk to every single day does help because then you really have a reason to get on sparkpeople. I track my BMR because then I know for sure whether or not I burnt enough during the week to lose weight and that is mainly the things that keep me in line towards my goals besides being in challenges.

Let's have fun with this. My only rule is no "crash dieting" (aka starving yourself) Like you said, "In a healthy way."

I'm with you! I have 112 lbs to lose, and would like to do it as quickly (but in a healthy way) as possible. Let's do it!

I do not know how good i will be at losing 100 pounds in 9 months but i will try my best I am with ya. Lets do this! I have just started today and I have a goal weight of 130 by May of 2012 so this will really get me to my goal. What are you all doing to reach your goal. It might help me thanks

I would love to join you on your lifestyle change. I know for me I do not have quite 100 pounds to lose but I do have some goals to lose the 50 pounds and I would like to do it by that time and so I am wanting to be accountable for those months so that I do not give up on my goals.So that would mean that I need to lose 1.3 pounds weekly to get there and that seems like a do able range to me.

Great goal! I am doing a hospital diet called HMR- it consists of nutritious shakes and entrees. Each shake is 100 calories and the entrees are around 200 cal. I can have either at least 5 shakes a day or a combo of 2 entrees with 3 shakes. I have been doing it now for 7 weeks and lost 25 lbs. We are also supposed to do at least 2000 cal worth of physical activities a week. It has gotten me off my backside if ya know what I mean. I would love to get down to my old weight of 150 lbs- so I got 70 lbs to go. I want to reach this by Thanksgiving. Sparks people gets me away from the TV and helps me journal my intake and cardio. Hello everyone,

I am challenging myself and have set several goals for the next 9 months. When I started on June 15th I was at 282 and am currently at 275.

1. I want to lose at least 25 pounds by August 6th
2. Be down another 10 pounds by September 6th
3. 50 pounds total by October 8th
4. 75 pounds by December 10th
5. 80 pounds by the end of the year
6. 90 pounds by my birthday, February 15th
7. Finally, 100 pounds by April 1st.

That's about 2.5 pounds a week and I think I can do it. My goal weight is 180. I will be posting my results on Fridays only. If anyone has any comments or advise please feel free. Thanks so much for all your support.

Would anyone like to join me?
