I am so happy to see new people every time I log on. This is amazing & it doesn't matter if you're a day late or if someone wants to join a week from now because it is never too late to start goals & work toward a better you!!!
And I love your idea KLYN about getting everyone to share how they will reward themselves. I think it will be a really good way to keep everyone motivated to stay on track!!! I personally haven't put too much thought into rewarding myself yet, but I am definitely going to make it my homework tonight to figure it out!!! Thanks!!!
I am happy to see that everyone is having a good start! Everyone has such great goals & if we work together we will all be successful!!!
I feel good today! I've had all of my water, I woke up early & worked out for 30 minutes! AND WHEN I WENT TO THE GROCERY STORE I DIDN'T NEGLECT SHOPPING FOR MY LUNCH FOR THE WEEK!!! MMMMMM Lots of Fruits to snack on!!!! (I save the veggies for dinner!!! ;])
Now it is time to get ready for the week!!! I wish everyone a happy Monday tomorrow!
So we all have goals, but what rewards, besides weight loss and being healthier, are you setting in your sights?
I have a few streaks going right now and am rewarding myself for them when I get to a certain point. I have been working out for 9 days in a row now. When I get to 15 I am buying the Jillian Michaels Shred DVD. I haven't bought a new DVD for myself to workout to in years. I am also at day 11 on plan, within calorie range. When I get to day 30 I am buying a new digital kitchen scale. The one I have right now is not digital, is very old, and only goes up to 1 lb. And 3rd when I get to day 30 of exercise I am buying a new workout outfit.
Anyone else planning on rewarding themself?

Hi all! My name is Julie and I am so ready to do this challenge! It is such a great idea! I just found it, so I'm starting late.
I also want to let you all know that I too started a challenge yesterday. It's called "Your Birthday Challenge". We would set a goal of how much weight we think we can lose by our birthday and try to reach those goals. If you all think that 2 challenges wouldn't be too much at one time, please join me in "Your Birthday Challenge".
Personal Goals: 1.) Drink a least 8 glasses of water a day. 2.) Go to gym and workout at least 3 times a week. 3.) Stay within my calorie range everyday. 4.) Treat myself each week if I reach these goals.
Challenging Goal: 1.)Lose at least 10 pounds at end of challenge!
We can do this! Julie

Personal Goals: 1.) Exercise in the evening for at least 15 minutes. 2.) Reduce my food intake to within 10% of my calorie range 5 out of 7 days. 3.) Log on every day and enter my food and fitness. 4.) Eat my fruit/vegetable and protein every day.
Challenging Goal: 1.) To be still on the program and not give up.
Wow! It's so encouraging to see so many people take on this challenge!! Today I bought 2 new FIRM aerobic/weight DVDs -- and did them both! I'm soooooo exhausted. I couldn't even come close to keeping up with the folks on the DVD, BUT I worked hard constantly and know I had to burn a lot of calories. (Geez, I hope so!) Hope everyone is having a great 2nd (or 1st) day! Keep up the posting so we can all keep motivating each other. We can do it!
Ok, I'll do it. I need something else to keep me motivated! Weekly Weigh In: 1/23/10:212.2 1/30/10: 2/06/10: 2/13/10: 2/20/10: 2/27/10: 3/06/10: 3/13/10: 3/20/10:
Personal Goals: 1.)Stay consistent with the program, don't let changes in my life translate to changes in my diet, health and well being. 2.)Try to stay on the low end of my caloric needs instead of always pushing the high end. 3.)Practice yoga 4 times or more each week consistently. 4.)Train to bike across the country to Jason and Loki.
Challenging Goal: 1.)STOP eating sugar and simple carbohydrates.
I just found this challenge and at first I wasn't going to do it, but after reading everyone else's posts I decided to try. I'll be traveling and with my boyfriend during these two months, which are great things but always a challenge to weight loss for me.
Personal Goals: 1.) resist eating things when I don't know how many calories/fat they have (spontaneous eating -- this always ruins my good days) 2.) cook healthy and tasty food for myself 3.) exercise 5-6 days a week 4.) continue with my tracking and exercise when I'm with Richard
Challenging Goal: 1.) be able to jog for 30 minutes straight by end of challenge
Hi everyone, my name is Michelle and I just signed up yesterday. I want to take this challenge. I need all I can to motivate me in my weight loss success. I know I found this a day late but have already started on my weight loss goals.

Hi, my name is Kristyn. I'd love to join this 8 week challenge. I've finally made up my mind that I had to get serious about losing some weight. I'm very excited for the challenge. Today, I did some stretching with free weights and rode an exercise bike for 55 minutes (10.5 miles)!
Personal Goals: 1.) Exercise 4-5 times a week 2.) Create a food journal and log the food that I eat 3.) Increase water intake and cut down on pop 4.) Become a better planner: pack lunches for work and plan what I'm cooking for dinner.
Great to read everyone's goals!!! How cool. I love the time for prayer/reflections and the flower's ... Hadn't thought of doing anything nice for myself (not that the diet and exercise isn't being good to myself)... We're off!
Woohoo!!! Welcome everybody!!! I'm so happy more people have joined!!! Everyone has set great goals!!! :) I am checking in from my iPod via wi-fi connection so once I get home I will enter my weight & goals because this stupid thing doesn't want to work properly for me right now! I can't wait to get to know everyone more!!
Personal Goals: 1.) Drink min. of 8 cups of water a day (reduce diet coke consumption) 2.) Do 60 mins. cardio/day (6 days a week) 3.) Do 40 min. full body workout (3 days/week) 4.) Keep nutrient profile - high protein, high good fat, low carb, plenty of veggies for fiber and reduce salt intake!
Challenging Goal: 1.) final weigh in under 130!
This morning I did a FIRM video (60 min.) using light weights and aerobics.

So glad you both want to join in! That's excellent! This is my first challenge here and I'm pretty excited. Plan to get up pretty early (for a Saturday) and get my aerobics in to start it all off. Looking forward to getting to know you all and achieving our goals!
No worries. I will add the other stuff tomorrow too. I'm new here and really don't know anyone. I've invited some people from work (we are doing the biggest loser there) to come and join for some additional motivation, but not sure if any of them will.
Yay Welcome aboard!!! I am so sorry about taking a day & a half to respond, but I got super busy and couldn't make it to a computer. Ha-ha.
If you know anyone who may be interested in this then you should send them over here so we can have more people!!! Even if no one else wants to join in we can at least help keep each other motivated! Working with one person is better than working with no one at all!!!
I will check in tomorrow & post all of my goals then. I hope you are still interested!!!
OH AN GREAT GOALS BY THE WAY!!! I KNOW YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THEM IF WE WORK TOGETHER AND STICK TO IT!!!
Personal Goals: 1.) Stick with plan! 2.) Do 60 mins. cardio/day (6 days a week) 3.) Do 40 min. full body workout (3-4 days/week) 4.) Keep nutrient profile - high protein, high good fat, low carb, plenty of veggies for fiber!

This Saturday (1/23/10) will make it exactly 8 weeks until the first day of Spring & I don't know about you, but I want to look & feel my best as the world around me starts to come back to life!!!
To anyone who is interested:
We will weigh in weekly... The fist weigh in will be Saturday 1/23/10 & the last will be on the first day of Spring 3/20/10.
I would like everyone to set 5 goals that they would like to accomplish over the 8 week course of this challenge... 4 smaller goals & 1 big goal that you know will really put you to the test!
Everyone should check in daily or at least once a week to share your progress & to help keep you motivated!!!
If all goes well with this & we have a good turn out then we can take a nice one week break to reward ourselves on how good we've all done & then do a 12 weeks until summer Makeover! 3/29/10 - 6/21/10 (1st day of Summer)
So if you're interested just make all of your post in here & copy & paste the following every week to keep everyone updated on your progress!!! :]
