If you have a smart phone there are tons of free apps you can download that will give you cues during the C25K runs.

Good Luck. I totally recommend Couch to 5K- it started me off from never running to eventually running a marathon. I continue to keep running- it's now my go-to exercise. But the full program is 9 weeks long. But if your goal is to run some of the 5K, it should work for that too.

Most of my friends that run races have started with Couch to 5K. I am going to start it myself shortly.

Couch to 5K is also a great training program to get you from not running at all to running for miles. It definitely worked for me. I had never run a mile straight in my life until I tried C25K and it got me up to running over two miles straight before I hurt myself and had to stop running.
