You can do it...it's pretty average exercise for many walkers & runners.

Hi 1WENDY1.

Absolutely. Because walking is low impact you should be fine and doing a nice walk after your 5K race may actually help relieve some muscle soreness.

Ive been doing Insanity workouts lately and plan to finish the 60 day in june then start running to train for a 5k this fall. Each fall my family and friends do the breast cancer walk for 4 miles. I just found out they are the same weekend. Saturday the 5k and sunday the 4 mile walk.

My question is, is it ok to do this back to back (as long as im feeling up to it) or should I look for another 5k to run instead so theyre not right after each other?
