Hi Cait,

I'm 186 (but only 5'2"). Until a knee injury and my now 4 year old daughter I used to be 135-140. We have a trip to see family in Germany on June 24. Everyone is thin and riding their bike over there! so I've just set a goal to lose 20 pounds by the first day of summer, which would be June 21. Would you like to buddy up with me? I'd love to lose another twenty by my birthday on Sept 27. Maybe we could do some kind of supportive/competitive challenge. I'm new to sparkpeople and could use a few buddies. I'm serious about losing weight this spring/summer. Let me know.

Welcome to SparkPeople! Good luck reaching your goal weight. Your trip sounds like it'll be a great time.

You could try joining a weight lifting SparkTeam to find others that share your interest.

Hi!

My name is Cait, and I've set myself a goal of going from 198 to 158 by September 16.

My friend and I are planning a vacation to Barbados, and I'm so excited, but also determined that I will look healthy and toned on the beach.

Weight lifting is a really big thing for me and I'm interested to hear from anyone who counts this as a passion. This always makes me feel so much better about my body and look stronger, too. I'm going to be in a calorie deficit, of course - but a small one. My overall aim is to set up habits now that will stay with me.
