Way to go! My goal is about 40 pounds too. I am not there yet but I hope I get there before Christmas. Congrats.

Way to go! That's an awesome accomplishment! You started right around where I did, and your goal is around what my original goal was. (When I hit that, I realized I still had some to lose, and ended up at 127.)

Thank you for your nice comment. It sure helps to be retired and have the freedom to workout any time of the day. Getting healthy has been a part time job so to speak. Getting ready to take the dog for a walk, then hit the gym later.

I'm pleased to a nnounce that as of this morning's weigh in, I've lost 40 lbs. I could not have accomplished this first goal without the tools and support of Sparkpeople and LaFitness. My ideal weight is 135-140 lbs. My message to anyone starting a healthy lifestyle is to eat smart, and never give up. Even if you walk in your neighborhood, it's better than lying on the couch and eating junk.
