i just got a heart rate monitor after getting a knee injury but i did the level 1 of the shred anyway and burned 217 calories WITH a knee injury that limited me from really doing the cardio....i haven't healed enough to do it fully yet..i am 5'8 and 148 is probably different for everyone though!

I only burn about 200 when I do it and I'm sweating and laying on the floor like I'm going to die when I'm done. I was disapointed in that and am doing her boost metabolism one.

I count it as 'circuit training' on My Fitness. It's a mix of cardio and strength, and I believe several people have called it circuit training when tracking it.

I had the same question, so thanks for asking it! All I know is that at the end of 20 minutes, I am DRIPPING sweat and feel like I worked out for at least an hour. And this is only on Level One!

When I do this video level 1 burns about 200-225 for me and it goes down with each level. Probably because level 2 and 3 incorporates more strength training.

I wear a HRM & I burn anywhere from 225-275 calories depending on how hard I push myself.

I don't have the vid, but I think it's largely strength based isn't it? If it is very much so, then it's probably incalculable, the same reason Spark doesn't track calories from strength.

If it's a bit of a mix of both, then look up 20m of "circuit training" on the cardio tracker and see what the burn from that is for you. That would approximate your burn from this workout.

I just ordered this DVD. I walk on my treadmill each morning for an hour and burn 300 calories. I am able to keep my calories at around 1800/day (as long as I walk), and still lose weight. I would like to do this DVD a few times a week as well. I know it's only a 20 minute workout, but does anyone here have any idea how many calories (approximate) can be burned?
