Thanks! He tried it with me last night, I know it'll be easier to get him moving if I do it with him and motivate him, but I'm sure he'd rather do a "manly" one! It's a pretty intense workout for a big guy who doesn't move much! I'm gonna find your suggestions and maybe we can do those together :)

Is your hubby looking for a fitness routine ? If there are no gyms in your area and he wants something more structured, he could consider the P90X program. You can buy it marked down on amazon. You might even be able to borrow it from your local library. it's been around for years.
Also, if he wants to ease into a regular exercise routine, he can start with a daily walk. Walking is wonderful cardiovascular exercise. He doesn't have to do a lot to start. In fact, if he has been sedentary, he should talk to his doctor first before starting to exercise especially if he does have a bad back.

I don't know any guys who have done the 30 Day Shred, but if he's looking for a similar (but more guy-oriented) program, he might want to look into Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer. It's a similar structure to 30DS, but with a little more focus on resistance training, and the trainer is the same guy who created the P90X, so it might be more appealing to your husband.

Hey guys, I've started a "club" in our small town that is basically a support group for getting fit, staying fit and eating healthy. We don't have anything around here already organized and only get the odd zumba session through the school so we created our own and are doing the 30 Day Shred this month. Enough about me, I am trying to get my husband to do it with us but because we're all a bunch of moms, he's reluctant. We all do it in the privacy of our own homes but I still think it hurts his "manhood" LOL! The issue is he's a bug guy (which I love) and his back is giving him lots of issues these days. Any guys out there have any before and after pics or who have done the shred and have positive encouragement??
