One year ago today I was looking at an article about online diet aids and discovered SparkPeople. It looked interesting so I signed up and so did my husband.
And what a year it's been!
I lost 65 pounds
Dropped 5 pants sizes
My blood pressure, which had started creeping up is back to normal
I made exercise part of my everyday life and even took up jogging
I ran my first ever 5K race in November
Between the 2 of us, my husband and I have lost over 100 pounds
Looking back, none of this was easy -- but oh so worth it!
And now on to the next year! I am looking forward to losing another 15 pounds, learning how to do "maintenance mode" and running more races, maybe even an 8K.
