Hello everyone! I am not new to sparkpeople, but definitely new to the message boards. In 1998 I was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma and was at one point given three weeks to live. Well, I am still here and going strong, except for this weight. I was 135lbs when I was first diagnosed, but then with all of the surgeries and meds I hit my highest weight of 200lbs. Since I was told in 2000 that I was in remission, I have lost and gained and lost and gained. The beginning of this year I hit my highest weight ever - 201. I had had it. I had been spared from death, only to not really have a life because I couldn't do the things that I wanted and was uncomfortable in my own skin! I have already lost 10 lbs with a combination of diet and exercise (I am addicted to my treadmill). I recently signed up for a 5K as additional motivation, and then promptly got hurt. I am working my way back from that setback with a determination that I didn't even know I had! I can't wait to continue my journey with all of you!
