I would suggest maybe just trying to exercise while watching TV instead of being solitary. Or, if you don't watch TV much, try taking the stairs more often. It's a start, and maybe it will trigger you to want to do more. Or, get a pedometer, and challenge yourself to go 50 or 100 steps more every day or week. Having a goal might help to motivate.

Good luck! emoticon

Can you start by just changing up a few things? Here are some examples of things I do routinely just to build more steps into my day:

Park in a spot as far from the store as possible and walk.
Take the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator whenever possible.
Take your plate to the table and walk back to get your water, and then walk back again to get silverware.
After you've gone to the bathroom, stop and do a set of squats right by the tub.
Right when you get out of bed, bend over and touch your toes (or try to) 10 times.
Stand up during commercials and do 10 jumping jacks, or 10 situps, 10 lunges, and some stretching.

If you start adding little things like that into your day all day long you'll be surprised at how much exercise you can get. There are alot of Coach Nicole's workout videos on the healthy lifestyle tab and many are under 10 minutes. Can you add one of those to your day?

Before starting any exercise program perhaps a doctors check up, I was once a large lady and it is common sense if eating better to feel better not dead beat.. For safety sake, check in with your doctor and get a clean bill of health rule out any sinner holding you back..

Hi, MIZMEMPHIZ !!

Well, maybe you're not a morning person. No one says that you have to exercise first thing in the morning. Many people like to do it because it invigorates their day, but no one says you must exercise in the morning to be healthy. If you feel more comfortable exercising in the evening, then workout at night. There is no right or wrong time to get in some activity.

Do you get a lunch hour ? If so, how about taking a 30 minute walk at lunch ? Walking is wonderful cardiovascular exercise and can help you relax and reduce stress.

Do you have time to watch your favorite TV shows ? If you have time to watch TV, there's time to exercise. Buy a set of resistance bands and do some strength training exercises while you watch your favorite TV shows. There are all sorts of ways you can make your day more active without having to "exercise".

Example, take the stairs instead of the escalator. If you take a bus or subway, get off one or two stops before and walk the extra way. When you go to the mall, park at the far end of the lot and walk the extra way. If you take an elevator, get off one or two floors before and take the stairs.

That may not seem like exercise, but those are simple things you can do to make your day more active. Which is the real point of exercise. Exercise isn't just about how many calories you can burn. It's about making your life more meaningful and productive.

I am so beat. I can't START the exercising process. I'm doing well with the healthier eating but I can't seem to get motivated to get up and exercise. Please encourage!!
