Hi, S
Everything you do, even sleeping, burns calories, so it's not just the exercise calories that contribute to the "out" side of the equation. Most people will burn roughly 10 calories per pound of body weight per day, just laying in bed doing nothing--maybe a little less than that if your body fat percentage is pretty high, since fat doesn't use as many calories as lean tissue.
This is all figured into your recommended calorie range during the set up process, so if you stick to your calorie range and your exercise goals, you should see some results. Some people see changes in weight right away, some tend to see changes in how their clothes fit before the scale starts going down, and some may take a few weeks to see much change at all, especially if you're new to exercise, because your body tends to retain a little extra water when you begin an exercise program.
Hope this helps.
