No problem with the Super Bowl for me! I don't watch it! I've got a Raku firing workshop with pot luck, though. I'm taking baby carrots and hummus, and will be careful!

| I'm in. I would love to lose at least 6 lbs this month. It's my personal goal for the month. I would be most thrilled to lose 8lb though. I'll weigh in on Wednesday too. I'm starting the challenge late, but I need the challenge.

Morning! Superbowl challenge on the horizon! WE DO HAVE A CHOICE!!! Got meal planned for Superbowl (lowfat nachos and spinach quesadillas)documented in calorie chart so I will know where I am going and how many calories I have left. Exercise water and calories within plan!

| Thanks everyone for the help. I went out hiking with friends for 2 hours instead of hanging out grazing. Then I did 45 min of cardio. I am sore but happy. Also, 8 8 oz glasses of water, complex carbs, stayed in my calorie range. Tomorrow is another challenge as I am hosting a big brunch. Feb Goal challenge is really helping me stick to my goals. Week-ends are tough for me, too. I work on making smarter food choices and staying out of the kitchen most of the day. I also plan to work harder at getting more exercise done, like hiking with the family. Good luck everyone!

Afternoon! Spent a great deal of time customizing my meal plans and am now set! Evening meal going to be awesome, fresh made pizza on whole wheat pita, peppers spinach and tomatos. 1/4C of lowfat mozerella and I am good to go!Cold as the dickens GA way and my dogs and I had an awesome 2+ mile power walk at school yard (no leash, no people and our saving grace on w/e's!) W/E's rough for me too...eat high fiber foods and veggies (more filling), drink extra water. I have learned that sometimes when we think we are hungry we actually are not, our body is thirsty! Stop and think when you feel the urge to snack...is your stomach growling? Are you uncomfortable because of hunger pains? Go grab that bottle of water! BTW, I get 1 bottle of water (16.9 oz) and drink at least minimum 5 per day. Some days it is more. Good luck all! ttyl Ellen

The weekends really are my challenge time, when I snack a lot more. Anything anyone else has done that works, I would really love to hear about right now. One of my Feb challenge goals is to maintain or lose wt on weekends. Thanks.

Good evening all!
I got my water in today, Yay for me! And also my complex carbs, no exercise to speak of though, but i plan on going to curves tomorrow. All is going well on my end so far. Everybody else seems to be doing an awesome job staying on track so far! Keep it up!

Count me in! I'm aiming for 8 in February. I'm working out at the gym 5 days a week doing strength training 3 days and cardio all 5. I'll do Wed. weigh in also. Good luck everyone!

| THANKS ALLISON FOR GETTING US STARTED, AND CONGRATS EVERYONE ON DAY TWO! I feel good. I drank 8 8oz glasses of water today, ate complex carbs, did 30 min wt training, 1 hr cardio, and stayed in my calorie range. If I keep this up, I think I can break out of a 3 week plateau and start losing weight again.

Hi Ladies! Yesterday healthy eating all complex carbs as far as whole wheat pasta, english muffin and Kashi frozen meal, fruits and veggies in as well. Did not give in to boredom grazing! water all in and then some. Very slack on exercise, first day off in 10 days (no excuse). On perfect meal plan today, no slips and yes whole grains and nuts are exellent sources of fiber and filling! Blueberries are excellent for fiber and are proven antioxidants. Complex carbs?? Try Ezekiel Cereal with flax seed! It's a little like grape-nuts, but healthier. Then put on frozen raspberries from last summer's garden...
YUM!!!!!!!
I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, but am starting the month at 171 (and ending it a 164!!!

Yesterday I drank 14 cups of water, stayed within my calorie range, and did 30 minutes of cardio plus tons of walking. I can see already that this challenge is really helping to motivate me!

| cool I can do this I eat whole wheat bread and pastas anyway so not a problem...this will make me drink that 7th and 8th glass of water.

I just wanted to say to all of our new challengers!
We can do this.
Today I'm challenging everyone to drink the recommended 8X8oz glasses of water AND to eat a serving of complex carbs (whole wheat bread, brown rice, whole wheat pasta) in stead of empty "white" carbs.
It's made a huge difference for me to change from empty carbs to complex. I'm full for much longer and I'm not dragging my butt around everywhere because I have more energy.

This is my first challenge and so far it's really helping to motivate me. I drank 8 cups of water, did an hour of cardio, and ate within my calorie range. A good first day.
