Welcome to the newcomers I think I need a starting weight (or weigh in tomorrow) for Lkirby.
1 - 1218 2 - to be honest I still don't feel well but it completely slipped my mind, I had to keep a toddler quiet all morning so daddy could sleep (he had to do an emergency all nighter at work) and then I had an important interview for school etc.. 3 - 8 glasses 4 - I told myself 800 cals for the day was way too low and so I had a nice snack of milk and gramham crackers (which have replced my toffee cookies).
I'm a little nervous about tomorrow's weigh in just because of the little to no exercise this week and the fact that my calories have been all over the place. But since I realize that at least I can't be too disapointed.

I wanted to know when should I remove people from the spreadsheet? or should I just leave them? Like we have some gals that posted the first week and have not heard from them since.

6/1 Man is it already june. How time flys.
1. 30 points but am starting the rice diet tomarrow, so will be going back to calories 2. None, I had beadwork to do. 3. 12 glasses 4. I did bad and good. I ate ice cream but it was vanilla instead of the butter pecan I really wanted.

1. 1150 cals 2. 15-20 glasses of water 3. 60 mins kickboxing class 4. Did very well today I am trying to the the low and the high calories thing.
I think I will be the first one to give my number. Today I am still 179 lbs, didn't loose anything as expected.
After all I feel good about myself and all I have done so far, I will keep on working hard for my goal.

5/31 1. 1117 cals 2. strength training 3. 9 cups of water 4. Last night I made a salad you guys just have to try. It is huge and filling and very low on calories. I made the Chopped Vegetable Salad with garlic Dressing from the Spark recipes. I added a couple of thing extra to it. 1 head romaine lettuce chopped. 2 chicken thighs (skin and bone removed) that I rubbed with spicy brown mustard and broiled and then cut up into chunky bits. I used the juice from the chicken in the dressing as well. Just toss everything together. It was so yummy and came to only 224 cals for half the bowl. I guess it could be served with some whole wheat toast and extra dressing if its not enough.

Hey All, Well, I started the second phase of the diet, and I'm doing better than I was, but still not perfect. May 30 1. 1800 cal (100 over limit) 2. 6 glasses of water (which should be about 8 cups) 3. no real exercise (I'm still having a tough time finding time for exercise) 4. I did not snack after work, before dinner, which is a major achievement for me! May 31 1. 1900 cal (200 over limit) someone brought bagels to work and I had one. 2. 6 glasses of water 3. 10-15 minutes of brisk walking at lunch 4. I didn't snack after work/before dinner again today!
I have a few bad spots to work on, but I'm really paying attention to what I eat and the calories, like I wasn't before, and I'm doing it without a rigid diet to follow. I need to add exercise, and eat more fruit, and learn not to blow my day by eating one bad thing (i.e., a bagel, medium french fries, etc.)

| Jaime, I would be careful cutting the calories too much. I do think if you cut too much, it will lower the fat content in your milk. You should probably discuss with your doctor. How old is your daughter now? Like you said she is on 3 meals a day, but while nursing I would be concerned going down to 1000 calories. I don't even think going down to 1000 is good when you are not nursing. Your body will just go into starvation mode and your metabolism will lower. Believe me your metabolism will lower a lot more by the time you are my age. Just be careful. Our children need us and you don't want to get yourself sick. As I said, just check with your doctor.

1 - 1759 2 - none I was completely miserable 3 - 9 glasses 4 - I only overate a little...I didn't eat the gumdrops sitting on the counter.
There is one less stress factor in my life the daycare at school now has room for my little guy! (yay!) This makes my life easier.

I would really watch cutting your cals too much. It can effect your milk supply. If you want to stay at those calories, you can purchase fenugreek (spelling)at GNC. It helps up your supply. I took it while feeding my first daughter. The only side effect is it makes your urine and sweat smell like maple syrup.
1. 30 points 2. none today, don't have the room. I have my new king size mattresses in the middle of my livingroom. 3. 12 glasses 4. Didn't do anything special.

Gaby, that's one of the reasons I drink like a fish and I'm not taking prenatals anymore, but I take lots of other vitamins and supplements. I'm not worried if my milk supply starts to dry up. I can detect that and make adjustments. I'm more worried that the nutrients won't be what she needs in the milk. Hopefully taking lots of vitamins will keep things the way they need to be. Every breastfeeding website says that you should absolutely not diet strictly, but then it doesn't actually say what happens if you do???

Jamie, are you taking any vitamins while breastfeeding?, I would like to say that if you are going to be dieting like that and you are breastfeeding, take some vitamins, I think they are very similar to the prenatal ones...I know what you are thinking (prenatal)... my opinion is take those vitamins and lots of water...

1. 1120 calories (that's more like it) 2. 40 minute walk, 10 minutes rope jumping 3. 18 glasses 4. I'm trying to get those calories right at 1000. Especially for the next couple of weeks. I'm afraid of going much lower since I'm still nursing. Does anyone know if decreasing your caloric intake will decrease your milk supply or will it do something to the milk? It's not like she's relying completely upon milk now as she eats 3 meals and several snacks and actually only nurses about 4 to 6 times a day now. But it is still an enormous part of her diet, so I want to be careful. Any ideas?

Hi everyone, today was a pretty good day.
1. 1470 calories, this is pretty good for me. 2. 36 minutes of exercise, 3 miles WATP. 3. 9 glasses of water 4. Didn't buy anything in the vending machine. I've got to curb this bad habit.

I'm not going to bother trying to catch up with the posts I think or with trying to figure out my calories. It started with a bbq and ended with lots of calories. So today is a new day and when your throat hurts like mine does I'm not likely to eat much, but when you feel like I do not likely to exercise either :(
I do have good news, my son was accepted into the daycare program at the school which means I don't have to stress about that anymore!

1. 579cals (yikes!) 2. none 3. gallons 4. yesterday was just too hot to do anything including eating. Last week I still had to wear a sweater when going out and come this week it is in the 90'sF and muggy. The sudden changes catches my body completely off gaurd. I'll count this as my very low day.

1. 1620 calories 2. 55 minutes walk/jog 3. 22 glasses of water (call me a whale) 4. I had a GREAT calorie day. Until last night. I was just SOOOOO hungry and finally gave in to eating half a loaf of bread (almost) and stupidly I used butter, which I don't generally do. After seeing the scale increased this morning, I'm SOOO done with my foolishness in the evening. I do great during the day but find that while I'm working after the kids go to bed, the hunger pains catch up with me. Here's what I'm going to try the rest of the week and see if it works for me...when I'm hungry, I'm going to drink an enormous glass of water, and then either take a 5 minute walk (if DH is home) or run the stairs or jump rope for a few minutes. Exercise is suppose to curb hunger. So let's put it to the test! Wish me luck, guys. I have 10 lb to lose in 2 weeks.

1 - 1239 c alories and I had to have a hot chocolate to get to that level :) 2 - 13 glasses of water 3 - Walked to and from work, 45 min arc trainer, 25 min on cross trainer. So tired now 4 - Walked to work so I wouldn't have any excuse not to go to the gym afterwards and came so close to buying some fries when I passed two fish and chip shops on my walk home.

5/30 1. 1210 cals 2. 15 galsses 3. no exercise today, my tummy was trying to catch up with all the "spicy food" from the weekend..I guess it is not used to it anymore..I am going to try and wake up earlier than usual (that means at 5 am) to do some cardio

Mzertson - I do play the piano and love it. My mom taught me to play. My husband had a grandma that played. His step grandma and grandpa were moving and didn't have room for the piano, so they gave it us. It was a generous gift, but I love having a piano in my home.
Welcome to the newbies!
I had a potluck barbeque with family last night. I'm kind of guessing on my calories because I have no idea how to enter in all the differnt little salads and things I ate, so just tried to enter in something I thought might resemble the calories. It was yummy, but I need to get back on track!
