Hard weekend...

My son Rex has been really off this weekend. He has a small brain damage and suffers from ambivalence, so the half can drive a person batty..
I understand he has had problems trying to fix his paint gun and his gamebox has a lose contact somewhere, everything that could go wrong went wrong...
However, when I tried to reassure him I would ask his foster mom to fix the problems or do it myself he got very angry at me and acted badly..
I made a super dinner and he was still flipped off at me and he started telling me the food was tasteless and that he hated me. I tried to contain this anger, but about now he flipped everyones elses switches and when he walked out the door. I collected his things and wanted to return him home to his foster mom.. He did a runner and out classed me in the running department.
When I phoned them to come and collect him, they had their answer machine on so... When he returns home tomorrow, I am asking them to house arrest him from visiting me 14 days..
Does anyone else live with this constant chaos? How do you deal with it, when your child switches off the lines of communication. He has behaviour defects and concentration defects, (his problem is non medication treatable), but it is so frustrating having his frustrates directed at me when I am not the person whom annoyed him...
It started when he broke up a fight between two other younger brothers whom shot each other with a paint gun they brought with them while visiting. The oldest accepted Rex stopping them fighting but the other one carried on calling Rex names... The domino effect then went over me and everyone else, even if these boys apologized and everything was good again between them and my boys....
I sometimes feel drained for energy to know how to reach into Rex without always ending with punishing him.. I also wonder when he will stop looking at me as a enermy and listen to me I am on his side.. If the shops were open and I had the money on hand I would have fixed his paintball gun and replaced his gameboy. But he couldn't even take open up long enough to take this message..I wanted to make a difference and be on his side..
