| Between my three kids we have done Super Science camp, Authors are Awesome camp, art camp, VBS, swim, soccer, dance and gymnastics. Not all three are in every camp.

| Both my son and daughter will be going to our church camp.
|
|

| Sent my 13 year old off to Falls Creek today. A Baptist youth camp in Oklahoma. I also learned that it is the largest youth encampment in the United States. Wow!
|

| My daughter is an only child so I send her to alot of day camps that are run by the town office so that she gets to have fun with children her own age. Near the end of the summer I am sending her to a week long Girl Guide camp.
|

| My 7 yo DD has done basketball camp and vacation bible school so far. She was also in a 4th of July Dance Camp. At the end of the week, they got to dance in the 4th of July parade. Next month, she's going to a sports camp where they learn a different sport each day.

| My son is only 5 1/2 so he goes to a general sports day camp, as he gets older he will probably do more specific type day camps, like soccer.

My kids spent the last two weeks at Zoo Camp - one week on "Wild Asia", the other on Dinosaurs. It was only 3 hrs a day.
This coming week, they are going to a typical summer day camp. They'll be doing crafts, activities, and swimming.
The week after that they have 3 hr/day camp on dance & arts/crafts.
Last but not least, they'll be attending all day camp at their new school. Each week has a theme but I'm not sure what their week will involve. The school has a pool. I've heard they usually take at least one field trip.
My oldest is entering Kindergarten and will also attend a 3 day "camp" for 2 1/2 hrs/day as an orientation to their new school.

DD will be trying a new church camp that has horses. Ds will probably go to Boy Scout camp, which ends up nearly free for their troop, due to successful fundraising.
Other than that, they'll be home doing a couple 4H projects, gardening, helping around the house, Ds has a lawn mowing job, and he'll also be working on math (his weakest subject) consistently through the summer.

We are spending $5,000 for our dd, Maggie to go to SPAIN this summer for a month to study Spanish, as she is taking 4 years of it in a high school honors program. This is a "summer camp" experience, which I think it well worth the money for her. Our oldest son went to Germany for 6 weeks on a study trip.
All five of my children went to Church Camps, 4-H Club Camps, and Day Camp, YMCA camp programs plus when they were small I took them to MANY free "VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL" weeks, since they were either 8-12 am or 5-9 pm.
My 20 yos had a summer job as a CAMP COUNSELOR at the Y this past year and worked 6 a.m. to Noon and he liked it.

| My son gets to attend a couple special camps like church, dance, karate, and cubscouts. Then he spends the rest of his summer at a YMCA camp.

| My kids go to Kanakuk - It is a Christian sports camp. They also go to drama day camps.

| Between my 5 children there will be numerous camps getting money from me! Basketball, baseball, football, and so on. That doesn't even include summer rec and the summer weight lifting program the oldest attends and so on. Summer is so crazy busy that sceduling becomes some what of a nightmare at times.

| Summer's coming. What type of camps will your kids do? My daughter LOVES horse camp and my son will do a handful of football/basketball camps.
