I can relate. I started SP last month. I was really into it for a few weeks, then I hit a rough week and lost all motivation. I finally got out of my funk the last couple days and am preparing to get back into it. My suggestion is just concentrate on the small fastbreak goals for a few weeks. When those small changes become a habit, up your goals a little at a time, so your body isn't shocked into changing everything at once. This is how I always burned out too fast. I started adding a certain # of veggies/fruits a day and upping exercise a few minutes at a time. When you do it slowly, it becomes habit. My hurdle is exercise. Even when I wasn't concentrating on diet, I kept up the fruit/veggies, water, and whole grains that I was accustomed to. I also suggest finding a buddy to be acountable to and just share with when your bummed. I found a great buddy, who helps motivate me. Feel free to sparkmail me if you want (no pressure).

Hi!
I'm in the same boat. I just joined SparkPeople. I have 2 young kids, age 3 and 6 and I have begun to realize that not only are some of my bad eating habits spilling over to them, but I'm also finding that at my current weight, I am not as able to run around and enjoy them as much as I could or would like to. I've tried many a diet but REALLY, REALLY want to make a true lifestyle change!
Good luck to you!

I'm working on changing my lifestyle again! But this time it's more for my daughter, I want her to have her mommy for a long long time! I've got to find a way to keep the motivation though. I do wonderfully for the first week, and then I just fall off. I know I can do it though!
