lol...my 4 year old daughter says she is going on a diet too. I guess we affect our children more than we realize.

That is a good story. My 5 year daughter told me last night that she wanted to diet as well. I just told her that I am not dieting I am making the family eat healthy foods so that no one gets sick. She was okay with that as long as she still gets a snack afterschool is what she told me. Funny thing is, her favorite snack is a big carrot, full-size as opposed to baby carrots. She wont even touch a baby carrot.

That's sweet. My daughters always associate their Grandmother with sweets! I don't completely deprive them (we did make Valentine cup cakes last weekend) but Granny always has a candy stash.

That made me smile. Not at that stage myself yet. Trying to add exercise into my lifestyle before tackling diet. Can only manage one thing at a time. Thankfully adding exercise doesn't affect my kids too much. Just get on the treadmill first thing in the morning. Not sure how it will go when their holidays are over and I have more to do in the mornings.

ha ha, that's brilliant. I mind my sisters kids and have just said NO thanks when they offer me some chocolate or whatever because I'm on a diet. Like you, I didn't realise they were paying any heed of me until my 8 year old nephew told me that he was going on a diet too and wasn't gonna eat! I had to explain the idea of a diet to him but was shocked that he was even thinking that way!

I have a funny story. For 2 weeks now I have really been watching what I eat. I also have been trying to make better choices for my kids. No one at my house has ever complained....but my 7 year old daughter called her grandma and said please let me spend the night at your house grandma so I can eat some sugar!!! I did not realize that they were so affected by everything. I am truly grateful that they have not complained to my face. I think that means they are supporting me the best they can.
