| Good nights sleep? Do those exist? I have a 3 yr. old that has had night terrors for over a yr. now. I don't remember the last time I slept through the night.

I have a 2.5 year old and a 3 month old and this past week has been horrible!! between the two of them i got up FIVE times a night. But last night they both let me sleep 8 hours....i feel like a new woman today.
I dont have a baby monitor..never have. Babies/toddlers are such noisy sleepers i can even hear them with thier doors closed. But both thier rooms are beside ours so if they cry at night i hear them.

| I have a son that is almost 23 months.... it gets a little better over time. Unfortunately I still have a monitor in my room and everytime he cries in his sleep or calls for me in his sleep I wake up and don't get back to sleep for about 1/2 hour later! I go to bed at 10 pm and set my alarm for 6:30am to get ready for work. I do not get up at that time though, I hit the snooze button for at least 20 min. I feel tired all day.

| Um, not at all. I try to be in bed by 10pm and up by 8am, but I am still up every couple hours with my 10 month old. Plus, my hubby gets up for work at 5:30 so I am awake with him for a little bit too. Even if I did get enough sleep, it will all be broken into sections and thats not helping me much. One day.... :dreaming:

| I am a single mom of twin boys age 2. I average about 7 hours of sleep. I had to work to get it to that many hours. For me the key is getting the boys on a routine and getting them in the bed by 7:15 PM. I give myself only one hour to straighten up the house and prepare clothes and my lunch for the next day. I am a project manager by trade and I understand the importance of planning. It was only when the boys were born that I really understood that I could use my profession to organize my personal life. Stay encouraged and get in as much sleep as you can.

| I promise myself every night that I am going to go to bed earlier and then I rarely do. As a stay at home mom I tend to enjoy my wind down time after the boys are in bed. I am going to try to go to bed 15 minutes earlier every week and see if that helps.

| Yes, I need at LEAST 9 hours a night!

| I think this is a common problem for wives and mothers who work outside the home. I know I can ususally squeeze in 6 1/2 to 7 hours of sleep, but like most after I put the LO to bed I want some time to myself, not to mention giving DH the attention he needs. I have to admit my house suffers for it. It is basically clean but by no means the way I would like it to be. I just can't fit it all in, so I just get the important stuff. I am lucky that I can do my work out during my lunch hour, so at lease I can get my work out done during the week. I have tried getting on the tredmill at night or on the week end, but usually I am not successful.

| I think I get a good amount of sleep. I get about 6 hours a night, although it is very interrupted because my toddler sleeps with me and she's a terrible sleeper, especially lately because she's teething.

| Good question, I would like an answer to that myself! I, too, have to take time to unwind after my 2-yr-old goes to bed, and with work, housekeeping and hubby time, I usually only get 5 or 6 hours a night. Actually, I usually consider 6 to be a blessed event.

| I know that getting a good night's sleep is essential to lose weight, but I just don't know how to "fit it in!" That sounds terrible, but between my husband and I both working full-time jobs, and raising 2 toddlers, trying to keep our house in order, get my exercise in, clip coupons, etc. I am lucky if I get 6 hours of sleep a night! I can't make myself go to bed after the kids do ... that's my time to unwind and spend time with the hubs, and if I did, then I wouldn't get any cardio in either. So what do you do to make sure you're getting your zzzzzzzz's??
