I must be nuts too!! I love shoveling snow, always have......sometimes I have the yard done before my hubby gets home.... It can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours depending on the amount......I don't do it all at once, take breaks and oh yeah, my dog (black lab/husky mix) loves snow so I have to stop to play with him....maybe that's why it takes so long....ah heck playing with the dog is exercise too. We're having one of those, old fashion, lot of snow, winters I remember from childhood for a change......I just wish it wouldn't rain and freeze a couple of days later making it so hard to get out and walk....I'm not fond of ice unless I can skate on it...

Even using the snow blower, you still burn calories. Not as much as shoveling. I love it when it snows!! Plus, it's such a great feeling knowing that I am not stuck with the same way of burning calories day after days. LOVE IT!!! Today I burned 1200 for 100 minutes - wow......

I don't think I woudl have every considered shoveling snow "fun!!" :) But then again, my husband and I were laughing while we discussed how many calories we burned in the 2 hour long segments of shoveling the other morning!!
more today when I get home form school- blah!
