| Congrats on the baby. I truly know how you feel. My son is 3 months, I thought by now I would have lost most of the weight after having the baby. Good luck to you. And stay motivated. We can do this!!!!

| I am a childbirth educator and it can take up to a year for your body to lose the weight. Are you breastfeeding? This helps you to lose weight because it burns mad calories. Are you eating healthy or still eating like your feeding for two? You have to be patient. It took nine months to gain the weight which was a little excessive so it will take time to lose it. Have you started to excersise, are you drinking water, are you moving around or just sitting on the couch. We cant help you if we dont know what your doing to try to lose it.

It took me a while to loose the baby weight. I am still working on my last 10 pounds. A lot of it just depends on your body. I know that sounds condescending, but bouncing back after delivery just isn't as easy as some articles lead you to believe. I mean, how many of us were in shape super models before we got pregnant? Not me! While working to loose the weight I found a few tricks that have helped me personally: 1-Start slow. My first mistake was going gun-ho for the gym and I burnt out before I saw any results. Now I have a less intense work out that is much more manageable.
2-Take time for you. For me, this was getting in a hot shower and making a point to look nice, even if it was just for the baby. It helped me feel better about myself than sitting around in my pjs all day.
3-Reward yourself. If I go to the gym for two weeks without cheating I reward myself. Usually it's shoes or new panties or something fun I like.
Don't rush yourself, just find your new rhythm and know that it is so normal to slip up now and again.

There are a bunch of things. How much water are you drinking? Are you breast feeding and have restrictions there? Are you still taking your prenatal vitaming? Are you getting any sleep? What are you eating and are you using the nutrition tracker?
Having a newborn is difficult and can be hard on sleep and eating habits.
Try to drink as much water as you can. Also even if you are breast feeding you can eat a lot of veggies and fruit, which will help with reducing calories. Just make sure that you are not smoothering them in butter or dressings. Steam, eat raw or add limited fats to them.
And most importantly, enjoy your daughter!

It takes a little while. I have lost all my weight from my 10 month old, but still have more to go. I drink lots of water and cranberry juice for the first couple months. And then I walk a lot with my daughter in a carrier. This adds some extra weight too. Plus I have a 3 year old that I have to run all over the globe with. Just keep in mind it took 9 months to put it on and often times takes that long to take it off.
Congrats on the new baby!

Following your diet here on Spark can be really helpful. There are even nutrition guidelines here for breastfeeding or pregnant women. I would stay true to your Nutrition Tracker and keep motivated by updating and achieve your goals, posting here on spark, and reading the articles to make yourself more knowledgable.
Congratulations on your new baby and I hope you choose to make Spark your new lifestyle!
