It sounds like perhaps your husband is suffering from an anxiety disorder? If his heart checks out fine then he should probably be evaluated by a psychiatrist, there are meds that can really help and it is not going to work for your family to be sucked into his problems to the point that you can't even leave the house!

Good luck!!!

I have two sons with very different mental illnesses. The youngest has a degree of autism. No one can handle having two people with handicaps under the same roof without help.
When my husband got ill from diabetes type 1, we made a decision with the social authorities put the youngest with a foster family, so my husband and other son didn't suffer from his behaviour disorders.
It was a hard decision, but I would do it again because he was sucking the life out of my husband, my other son and I. Today my youngest son is a well adjusted 12 year old and I wouldn't have got the results his foster family has because I was always tired from looking after the other two. These two wonderful people live only several kms from our home and have the past 4 years straigthened alot of the behaviour problems out with strict rules and limits.
It was important to put space between us, so I didn't begin to hate and resent my son. Today I can have him every weekend and holidays or if he needs/wants to see me. We have had time to forget all the pain and suffering, and are a stronger family for the help. One has to think of the childrens best interests and not our pride. No one is perfect. When my husband died our foster family was tops helping with my other son and brought both to the hospital to say good bye to their dad. They also helped me through the funeral and getting my youngest through the loss when I wasn't there.
One always hears all the bad stories about social services, but there are also good ones...

I have two stepsons who live with me full time and no school for 3 weeks. My husband thinks he is having or going to have a hear attack. We have been to the emergency room twice in a week. just had a heart stress test all normal with nothing wrong. We are haveing a cathater ina couple of days to check for blockage. He has anxiety problems and I have not been able to work since this all started. He is afraid to be alone so I have to be by his side constantly. I cannot even leave to go to the grocery I have to send our 16year old. i have not left the house in 2 weeks other than hospital. The stress is causing me to drink and eat. Did I mention we have a 14 year old with Autism who cannot take change in routine. I love my husband and he is a great guy but my sanity is at stake. I just needed to get it off my chest.
