| I was a military kid, then military wife, and there are bad cliques in the service. Make friends and be proud of yourself 'cause if you don't like you, others wont either. You are GREAT!

| I too am a military wife. It is very hard because somtimes as the wife we feel so 'out of it' in regards to those involved in our husbands lives outside of home. I read somthing, though, that was along the lines of "if you don't accept the negative behaviour/comments of others, than they are stuck with it themselves". She is definitely the one with the problem, not you.

| A grown woman said that! That is a comment a 12 year old makes! It says more about the kind of person she is, than about you.

| I always say that people who criticize and make others feel bad have "problems" with their own security issues. So she feels she must put someone down to make herself feel better. She just needs to get some counseling! And you should not listen to her comments. I was a airforce wife many years ago (he's out now)....it's not easy being a military wife!

in the back of my head i hear this woman who worked with my husband whispering "fat army wife"
she's a mean person to say things like that, but I know that it's my head that repeats it to myself. but i can just see her with her fake boobs saying it with all the male soldiers at my husbands work. What can I do to get that out of my head and keep a positive attitude about myself, so that I don't feel defeated??
