| My parents brought us kids up walking everywhere, everyday. It wasn't until I went off to college and quit walking that I began to gain and never stopped.

My family started mall walking yesterday. We live in Connecticut and our outdoor walks ended up cut short or cancelled because of weather. The kids love it and I am inspired by all the clothes I see and want to buy when I reach my goal.
I want to get one of those mini trampolines to put in front of the TV. The kids can't resist bouncing on them!!

That is a great idea. Actually, just this morning, I got my almost 4 year old daughter to exersize with me. It was so much fun that it really made it worth while for me. I'm hoping to make it a routine. Not only will my daughter stay in shape with me...but we'll also have a stronger bond. I hope you can get your hubby to workout with you...it is worth it on so many levels!

I love the idea of exercising as a family, but by the time my husband gets home from work in the evenings, he doesn't feel like doing anything, let alone going for a walk or something. Even in the summer months I have a hard time convincing him to go for a walk. Course, when I do, it's usually a five mile walk, up to town, across town, and back home.
We're hoping to move by spring. The house we want to move to will be closer to his work, so maybe that will help.

| Yesterday after dinner, we all went for a ride in our development. My 3 year old graduated from her tricycle and got a bike for Christmas. We all enjoyed the bike ride.

| I love the email from today about exercising as a family. I think it can be easy to implement the little things, such as one night a week having a family fitness night, and leaving exercise equipment around the house, such as next to the TV and in any other room where you could be exercising while "lounging" around. I'm going to try it!
