That is one of my new year resolutions to clean out and get rid of old shoes, clothes, and stuff that i am not using. I have boxes of shoes and clothes that i have not used for five years.

Everything in my closet is getting "dated" this year I have started a personal fund and I'm going to buy things regularly. A standing rule that as one thing goes in--one thing goes OUT. Everything will be new, and it will fit as lose these final lbs.

I have this thing about shoes...I buy too many! I love shoes! When I got married 10 yrs ago, I had well over 100 prs! Now I am down to around 30. Yeah, I know, that is alot of shoes!! But I have my favorites, and being a military wife, and having to move often, I clean out stuff all the time. If I didnt wear it in the past year, I give it away, yard sale it, or throw it away. I think after 17 years, you are safe to throw those boots away!

Things has a "life" and 17 years for boots is way past the normal usage of a pair of boots.

Give away anything you don't need anymore as someone else does need it.

I took 4 pair of shoes to Salvation Army, perfect condition, not worn in about 5 years!

Agree here too. Some say those 17 years old boots are just plain old stuff, but they are definitely GROSS TRASH! They are ready for the waste incinerator. Does anyone agree? LOL

It's a really good point, because when i go through my stuff to give to charity i do not really think about the age of the shoes. I think we all had these kind of pull-on boots way back then, but now they wouldn't be useful to someone nowadays. Hygenically they would not be wearable. 17 years old ....i think they were definitely TRASH. And i mean, reagular/burnable household garbage. Does anyone agree with me on this or am I the only one?

Would you believe those boots are coming back into style? But I agree with you, if you haven't worn them in 17 years you probably won't miss them. Good luck with your closet cleaning, I think I have some of my own to do, will that burn calories?

Yep, itīs trash time. I took my 17!!!years old full-leather boots off after wearing them a last time and than they went straight into the trash. 17 years old, not worn them for years, pretty stiff leather and I think that they contained a lot of bacterias, fungi ....Gross!!! I know it sounds harsh, but I catagorized those 17 years old pull-on boots - they looked like stovepipes ...hahaha, you must see them to believe it:

as old, ugly, stinky, gross household trash. YIKES!!!

I am right in my harsh judgement about those 17 years old pull-on boots?
