My husband does know my weight and he has seen me both heavy and thin and then heavy again. It wasn't easy for me to tell him, but for me it was easier to say "Hey, I lost five pounds, I'm down to 200" Then to say I weigh 205, to me making it a positive statement helped me be honest because it wasn't quite such a blow to the ego.

My husband is a pretty small guy, so we weighed about the same when we first started dating. It's only been since the birth of our son a few months ago that I've really passed him by and it does bother me. But that's why I'm here on this site! And my husband is amazingly supportive of my weight loss goals - he works out with me and encourages me.

The hurdle for me was enabling my ticker! I too was embarrassed by the truth.
Once the ticker was visible, he knew much more about my journey, because we talk about SP a lot, and he sees my posts.
Enabling my ticker has REALLY helped me to overcome this fear and embarrassment, and countless people have communicated how much it inspires THEM.

My husband has always known my weight. What helped me was that I was thin & cute when we got married, then I had 2 kids. He has kept track of my weight with me through both pregnancies and the weight loss afterwards. Just the other day, I actually caught up to his weight! He has weighed less than me for a long time and that's an ego kill for me. He's very supportive and says that when I weigh more, it just means that my boobs are bigger! If your man really loves you, he won't care about your weight.

I told my boyfriend my size (7) because he wants to get me something nice to wear for Christmas. His first comment? You don't look that big! Then he started backtracking, like wow, I thought you were like a 3 or maybe a 5. It wasactually kind of funny. So I don't know if I wanna tell him my weight now haha.

Pre-marraige, I'm not sure it came up, but it may have. If he would have asked I would have told him. After that, I'm not sure. It's not something I'm proud of-- I was still very overweight when we met and married, but not like I am now. It's not a secret, and I'd think that any relationship worth having should be able to be honest without fear.

I know you're not supposed to weigh yourself every day, but I do, and my hubby will usually ask. Somedays it's great news and sometimes I'll grumble. He's on my side and supportive with my accomplisments.
