I sort of lucked out after my girls were each born. They each had their favorite piece of workout equipment that quieted them which in turn helped me get back in to shape quickly. The exercise ball was a big hit w/ my second while the rock and tone was a huge hit w/ my first. Now they are 5 and 2 and enjoy doing floor workouts w/ me. It's fun for them and a great family workout.

after my second was born I would workout during her nap and my son would watch prerecorded TV shows and one day he was watching my and moved behind me and I didn't see him and knocked him out. Really, I kicked him (TAE BO) in the head and he went straight back. He knows now to stay out of the way, and I will not do any kicks with my back awy from where they come in the room. My secondl ike s to sit in the rocking chair and watch me and sometimes get in front of me and starts kicking and punching also. I think it is cute and a great way for them to see how important fitness is.

My 3 year old joins me in exercising and often asks if she can go running with me. I somehow doubt she could keep up.

Yep, my 4-year-old use to "get in the way" of me working out, but now I try to do workout videos that he can do too. He loves to jump and kick and things like that. I can't get more than a half hour in at most, but hey, it's something.

yup! my little guy likes to make car noises while I'm on the bike.

He likes to bounce on the stability ball too. I figure its good for both of us.

It's so funny trying to work out with my 11 month old around. While I am doing crunches he pokes at my belly button and when I am on the exercise ball he tries to push me off. Little stinker.

Anyone else have any work out "helpers"?
