| Maybe taking the time to show him te online tools you are using here on the site would help. Then you can show him that everything shows up in the trackers. The more he knows about the program I think... the better.

Celestial Tones I would share with your husband how you feel. That while you know that he is trying to be supportive that it actually has the opposite affect. And ask him to leave the room while you are working out.
Whenever my husband makes any kind of comment I make him tell me that is concern is for my health. I get insecure about him being attracted to me. I get afraid he wants me to lose weight b/c he doesn't think I'm pretty so I make him say it

| I'm not sure of the "tone" of the comments, but I'm going to assume that it's he is attempting to be supportive of your change and to help keep you on track. If that's true, like the previous post, have a meal plan, but have your DH assist and provide input here, in the planning stage. Perhaps he will have a better understanding of where you're going and how you are getting there...

Yeah,
Well, you can gently remind them that the experts say one shouldn't lose weight too quickly, but anyway.
We can shift the focus to what you are planning on eating. You can (and this is a very powerful technique) plan out your meals, and even snacks, or just leave some calories around to fill up with snacks as you go, the night before or first thing in the morning.
That way you are quite sure of yourself, that yes indeedy you are supposed to be eating that.
However, we are trying to craft a new healthier lifestyle here. Actually the weight loss is almost a side effect--the real deal is heart healthiness, good arteries, and all that.
what sorts of things have you changed for good? What sorts of things do you want to avoid altogether (trans-fats say) and what sorts of things do you want to now encorporate (four servings of green vegies say).
If you can get a concept of your new healthier lifestyle down, and especially once it starts showing results and proving itself, you will get a wonderful confidence that a streak of success can give :-)

| My DH and kids are driving me nuts! Mostly my DH though. Since I've informed them of my fast food ban, water gulping, and weight loss strategy they are watching everything I put in my mouth. Not only watching, but asking me (mid bite, mind you) if it's okay for me to have that. Do I know how many calories are in it? Etc. Hubby is the worst and even makes comments like, "If you keep eating like that you're not going to lose the weight." or "I thought you were serious about this weight loss thing." All of this is only making me want to eat more! I can't exercise with hubby in the house either because of my fear of comments or even catching him giving me a "look" while I'm trying to work out. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHGH! Family! You can't live with 'em and you just can't shoot 'em!
