oooh! oooh! me! i had a little girl on the 10th of october (she's 17 days old! gosh!) and i was over at BabyFit too... my problem is my appetite... i just dont have one... i try to eat at least a little bit though... i'm back to my pre-preg weight, and i'm breastfeeding... so that may help me a bit... of course, having a toddler AND a new born sure helps. hahaha...

I have a little one who will be 4 months old on the 29th. I also have a 3 1/2 year old. I work full time so I don't really have time to workout but I joined Curves about 5 weeks ago because it's only a 30 minute work out 3 times a week. I try to go one night during the week, on Saturday mornings and one other day when I get to work at home during the day. I wasn't sure what the results would be since it's only 30 minutes but I was so surprised when I got measured & weighed at my 4 week mark from when I joined. I lost 1/4" from my bust (where I can't afford to lose it from...lol, 1 1/2" from my Abdominal area, 1/2" from my hips, 1 3/4" from my thighs, 1/4" from my arms and 5.6 pounds and .1% body fat. I was pretty excited. I've been doing the Curves combined with logging my meals and trying to stay between 1300 & 1400 calories a day (I tend to go over that on the weekends and still have good results). I am now about 10 pounds from my "being content" weight and 15 pounds from where I would love to be but not sure if I'll ever get to again after two kids and being over 30!

I had a baby girl 6 weeks ago and I'm trying to get back into a walking routine. I worked as a cashier during my pregnancy so I stopped walking - 6 hours on my feet was enough! I have 15 to go before I get back to my prepregnancy weight, and then I want to lose another 10. Right now I'm just focusing on the 15. My biggest problem right now is just being tired from the lack of sleep.

I have a 4 and half month old. I lost all the weight I gained during pregnancy in the first two weeks. Since then I have gained 10 back. I want to lose. I was pumping at work, but it was too hard and I started to dry up. I work in a high school and I have no free time. I just want to lose all this excess baggage

My DD is 3 1/2 and with her, I lost a bunch right away (not sure how much, b/c we didn't have a scale) but by about 4 months PP, I started gaining back. By the time she was 18 m old, I had gained back all my preg weight plus 4 lbs. I am determined this time to make lifestyle adjustments so that doesn't happen again!

I am BFing too, and with my DD who is 2 1/2 i held onto my weight. I stayed at 270lbs no matter how much I was training. I would do Spinning 3x/week, plus weight training afterwards. I think maybe I was overtraining?? Im not quite sure. I find my best weight loss to come when I just walk, and enjoy what Im doing, and have time to relax! I have started walking with my kids to the park. The fresh air feels soo good, and with my son only being 3 weeks old, walking is enough at the moment.

I have ordered the new Tae Bo Amped, and cant wait to get that started in the next few weeks.

A spark team sounds awesome....#

I have a two month old and just started back to work this week. As much as I hate to leave my baby, I'm grateful to be back into a normal routine. I'm not sure if I can find the time to exercise! In addition to my baby, I have a two year old!

I gained 40lbs when pregnant and lost 20 the first week. Nothing since! My initial goal is those 20 lbs-- hopefully by xmas. After that, I hope to take off the last 10-15 I have leftover from baby #1.

I'm also breastfeeding, so I adjust my calories. I'm curious to see if I'll lose anything or not since this is my first week. I'm convinced that I'm one who holds onto weight while BF, but I could either be eating too much or even too little (though I doubt that one!).

Is anyone interested in starting a sparkteam? Maybe a "Summer 07" team?

Fit2Wed2- I fell into a bad “I’m tired- I’ll eat” trap when my DD was born. Somehow, I haven’t been as bone tired this time around. Have you tried just taking some walks with the baby? Maybe that would ease you into exercising again. Then, when you feel the benefits of exercising, that will motivate you to increase your intensity.

Lindsay- I’d like to lose 10 lbs before the end of the year too. Then I’d be down to my pre-kids weight.

Beth- 80 lbs is great! I’m sure you can lose it again!

Hey!! Glad to see all the new Moms on the boards! I have been with Sparkpeople for awhile, but never really got into it much. I was with ediets before this and managed to loose 80lbs back in 2002, but eneded up regaining it all and more through 2 pregnancies. I just had my 2nd, a lil boy, on October 3rd.

My name is Beth, im 25, and live in the chicago area. I'm still a lil early to get into much heavy exercise, but I am ready to start making my eating plans healthier. Since I am breastfeeding, I think it is important to have a healthy diet.

Anyhoo, glad to have foudn this trhead!

Talk soon!

I have a 6 week old son and a 16 month old daughter and I'm 45 lbs heavier than I was when I got pregnant with her! I only want to lose about 30 or 35 lbs total, and I want to lose 10 lbs before the end of the year.

My son just turned 2 mo. He still is not sleeping thru the night and I tend to eat to stay awake! It is terrible! I usually do pretty good on calories and all of that good stuff but on occasion when I really feel tired and stressed I still tend to over eat! I also have not exersised yet! I did get a tubal done and was on bed rest for most of my pregnancy so I REALLY need to get back into shape but am finding it just not high on my list most days. I know that I would feel so much better if I did but....

My son is 2 months old. I gained 33.5 lbs during PG and have lost all but 2 lbs. I'd like to lose another 50 to get down to a healthy weight. I was on SP from Jan-July 2006 and lost 25 lbs.

My plan is to track my calories 6 days a week and exercise at least 5 days a week. I've only been "on program" the last week and a half.

Are any of you breastfeeding? How are you tracking your calories. I am just adding an extra 500 to my range. So if you look at my tracker, it looks like I am way over everyday, but really it is the extra 500 for bf-ing.

Well, ready these posts is making me feel better. I just had my baby 3 weeks ago, but already feel like I want to start a workout routine. I actually have started one this week. It is very light intensity, but I am feeling up to it and want to get this 20 pounds off sooner than later. I'm over having to wear maternity pants still, but I also don't want to go out and get a bigger size pant than what I have in my closet. I would say I'm about a size 12 right now and was a size 8 before I had my baby.

Hi everyone
I had a lovely baby boy in July who will be 3 months next week. Decided it's time to do something about losing the weight!! Finding it hard to have time to fit in exercise, as by the time my husband comes home I am ready to hand over Andrew and just lie on the couch, I am so tired!! He's a handful too, has been sinc birth. Still haven't had a nights sleep....
Needing some motivation!!

I have noticed a bit of a weight gain as well although i have had the biggest appetite... It just seems to increase all the time. Im still trying to drink the 6 L but because often i don't have time to eat (or use spark) i can go ages without food... This makes me eat heaps when i can which im positive is very bad, but i feel physically hungry. Ella (12 weeks old yesterday)is not in a routine, i like demand feeding etc, it works for me but perhaps not for my diet. What have you ladies been doing?

I had my little girl on July 14, and cannot wait till I can do ab exercises. Ive heard that it can take around 4 months till you should be doing that... And i would like to get healthy as well, but I have been told i should be eating an extra 1000 calories a day, which seems excessive. I hardly get time to eat now. My Dr wanted me to drink 6 L of water a day, which I think was just to make me make sure i was drinking the recommended 3L, (this was silly as i usually drink plenty of water anyway) but while i was drinking the 6 I had next to no appetite. I am going to look at this Baby fit, as I feel that following the spark programme is going to be a little too much and could have negative effects on my milk. Have you ladies found any dieting/exercise plans on here for new mums to follow? I really enjoyed using spark and would like to continue and eventually get back into my old regime once i have finished breast feeding.

I just had my baby Aug 19. I was on here while my DH was in Iraq and was wanting to lose about 10 pounds before we tried to have another baby. Well that didnt happen I ended up pregnant right after he got back. So I went to babyfit.com and now I am back here trying to get off the extra 10 pounds I have left from the pregnancy and then some.

My little girl will be 6 months on October 7. I lost alot of weight initially but have stalled recently. I've started tracking my food over here hoping to get the kick in the pants I need to make the scale move again. I have 6 more months to meet my goal of getting to prepregnancy weight (plus lose an additional 5 pounds).

i have a 5 month old on 9-20 and it has been hard to find time to eat exercise and all those other things you have to do to lose the weight. bu ti know that if i dont eat my baby will not get the nutrition that she needs. btw she will not take a bottle or formula so that makes it even harder on me because i have only breastfeed my other two children for about 6 weeks to 2 months but i was working in a factory and i refused to pump there it was just too dirty. so this is an adventure for me i have lost all my baby weight from this pregnacy but i still have weight fro the first two. it is not always easy to do but as long as you stick to what u want to do then it will eventually happen

Valierca-congratulations! I know how you're feeling, trying to find time to eat! I'm able to get meals in now, but I find that they're usually no where near the normal time I'd eat. I think I had lunch at 2pm today! Do try to eat when you can though. Baby needs a healthy mommmy!

VALIERCA I don't want to be a preacher but you SHOULD eat. Trying to lose weight by not eating is not gonna do any good to you :) But you probably know that :)

My daughter is already almost 6 mos and I joined SP on 23 June. It's a very helpful site. I was also on BabyFit during my pregnancy.

Hi,

I was on sparkpeople before having my baby. I was only trying to lose 10 pounds at that time, but gave up sparkpeople during my pregnancy.

I had my baby two weeks ago on 8-18-07. I'm back on sparkpeople to track my calories and hopefully lose the baby weight. I would like to lose 20-30 pounds.

I find I'm so busy lately with the baby I don't have time to eat!

I had a beautiful baby girl on August 3/07. I was on SP before but went over to BabyFit during my pregnancy. I finally feel ready to get back to SP and continue my weight loss and I wondered if there were any other moms of newborns to share the challenges of finding the time to eat properly and fit in exercise!
