The whine monster posseses my six-year-old son everytime he hears the words "No More Screen Time." I'm hoping to eventually hit on something to turn that horrid thing off! I have two Dance Dance Revolution games and I'm thinking of instituting DDR competitions in the evening. That way he can get some video game time and some exercise all at once!

My little's do watch to much TV. Fortunatly they are too young for the big video game thing yet...
I know what I need to do, get them active in something else. I often find myself using the tube as a baby sitter while I'm trying to get something done around the house.. or... well... posting here.
My goal is to find activities to keep them occupied ... and not fighting each other..

Unfortunately my husband and I have off schedules. I work 7a-4p, he is 2p-12a so our rules had to flex with our schedules.
After DH takes our son to school in the morning, he naps on the couch while our 3 year old watches Little Einsteins or Diego for about an hour. I am not thrilled with this but I guess she could be watching an rated R movie! LOL!
In the evening, dinner has to be eaten to my satisfaction, rooms have to be cleaned, toys have to be picked up and depending on the weather, they have to spend at least 1 hour outside. Then he is allowed to watch/play 30 mins of his choice on the tv and then she gets the same. After that, it is my choice and normally we just listen to music!
I think TV is not a bad thing if you balance it.

How do you keep TV, Computer and video Game time under control in your house?
I'm looking to implement a ticket system at our home. DS would earn two tickets worth 30 minutes of "screen time" each day. He could either use them that day, or save them for another day. Just curious to glean ideas from other moms and dads.
