| I've learned good eating habits from my parents but one bad one too...eating everything on the plate. Greek women have a tendency to force people to eat and sometimes over eat. I'm trying to get out of that habit. As for the Greek recipes, I'm slowly posting them on Sparkrecipe. I've added my mom's sutffed peppers and Tomatoes recipe. Check it out.

| This is great!!! I think kids learn alot from these family gatherings. Most of all it gives the family some time to share their days' events. Its amazing that dinner in front of the TV can be 60 minutes and you learn nothing about one another. dinner at the table is 40 minutes and the sharing that occurs is fantastic. I only wish I could share in some of the great Greek recipies you refer to. Yum! Yum!

| I've been lucky when it comes to family dinners. My parents came from a strong family upbringing where the family did everything together, including extended family members; especially at meal times. Everyone who was to sit down at the table contributed something to the gathering whether it was peeling potatoes or broiling the souvlaki on the grill. We don't live in Greece but my parents continue to make every meal a family event. My sister is married yet there is always a place at the table for her and her family. And I'm gratefully for having a Mother who is an awesome cook and who has taught me all the wonderful dishes from back home. I've been cooking for my family since I was in Junior High. Often my Mother and I share the cooking which helps her out a lot.
