I have spotted once or twice but it was so long ago, I can't remember when it was. I have clotted though. I remember it was right after going off the Ortho Evra patch. My doctor said it was my body adjusting to stopping it. I remember it was so heavy and no matter how many pads I went through or tampons, it just kept going. It was going down my leg and not giving me a chance to get to the bathroom. It was scary. When I called my doctor in panic, she asked if it was dark or bright red. I told her it was dark. She assured me it was "old blood" and not to worry because I was not hemorrhaging. It was either right after getting off the birth control patch or right when I started and had the timing confused as to when I was supposed to start a new week. It got to where it wasn't worth using. I also had to stop it becauase my husband went off active duty and we didn't have insurance anymore.

I have spotted only 3 times in my life (i'm 35). Twice I just had a strange period and once i was pregnant... but I was almost 13 weeks and had a severe urinary tract infection.

It's probably nothing to worry about sometimes our bodies just do strange things. If you remain concerned contact your obgyn.

If you're worried why not go see your OBGYN. You're the only person who knows what is not normal for you. At least call and express your concerns. If you don't usually spot you maybe should look into it.

Just because you never spotted before doesn’t mean it won’t ever happen. I very rarely spot, but there have been times when I have. If you are concerned call your doctor and ask them about it.

If you haven't started by early next week I would take another test to be sure. Being tired all the time is a symptom but it can also be a symptom of getting ready to start.

Probably not, you are spotting and you had a negetive test. I spot for a few days before I actually start all the time.
