Hi Cinderangel,

I don't have GBS but I do have MS, and I know what it's like to be disabled and try to diet/exercise!

I am currently in a relapse (hopefully on the way out if it) and am using forearm crutches to walk.

The best thing for diet is lots of fruits/veggies/whole grains. Really try to cut out saturated fat and refined flour/sugar.
It's hard but I bet you will notice a difference in your general sense of well being after a week or so.

For exercise (what part is paralyzed?) If you can get on them, ellipticals are great My balance is wacky and my right leg is messed up but I can do the elliptical by holding the stationary handles

Strength training is great for you. If you go to a gym, I would bring sanitizing wipes since your immune system is weak. (I have the opposite, a very strong immune system, one on steroids, lol)

Anyway, if you feel like talking, that would be great!

Hi there,

Having GBS has not been a treat but dieting is harder, because my immune system is very poor. I just try and keep positive about it all.
Anyone else had this issue? My GBS, has left me with residual paralysis.
