Happy birthday! It is great when you are just totally suprised on what would end up being an ordinary day. Haw sweet of your son, it's not quite bragging if he was being that sweet. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to think of sweet things to do for my husband and I. I'm glad that your birthday ended up being great, you should be proud!

So today just so happens to be my birthday and up until now my birthdays have never, ever been something to shout about. This year seemed no different when my husband informed me last night that he was leaving the state for work again and was going to be missing my birthday all together. So my plans that I had made to go out with one of my girlfriends was ruined because I can't find anyone to watch our kids on such short notice. Our kids are such a blessing though. This has been turning out to be the best birthday ever. My seven year old son got up this morning and said "Happy Birthday, Mom, stay here I'm going to make you breakfast." So I have been teaching him how to make his own oatmeal in the mornings and he made some for me. I have never been treated to breakfast in bed before. What a treat! Then I always go in on Friday mornings to help the kids in my son's class with practicing their reading. Today when we were all done and I was going to leave my son asked if the class could sing me Happy Birthday! All the kids had been so nice wishing me happy birthday already it was such a nice surprise. And so thoughtful of my son. He also had a special awards assembly at school today. So I got to go back to school and see him get two awards. One for perfect attendence and then the biggest award they have... he made the Accademic All Star award! It's given to the kid who shows that he has the best attitude towards school and his education being important to him. As a reward the pricipal will be treating him to pizza for lunch on Monday! I'm so proud of him. I can't think of a better way to spend my day than seeing my son doing as good as he is. Now tonight we are planning to go to Pizza Hut to use the certificate he earned earlier for a free pizza for book it and then we are going to coldstone creamery to get ice creams because he has a certificate for there for a free ice cream from cub scouts for earning his Bobcat rank. He has just been doing so well and it makes me feel good because I keep thinking that I must be doing something right by him. I'm sorry I know I'm just going on and on braging, but I'm so happy and so proud and right now I just don't feel like I have anyone I can really share it with so I'm sharing with anyone on here who cares.
