Rain thanks for your advice but we went ahead and did the laser treatment and she looks really good. The kids think she did the waxing. She is still young but i hope the results are long term later in the future. I honestly don't spoil my daughter i'll help in whatever way i can ( if i can afford it ) ! one other thing is she will definitely have is a beautiful smile and i know that will cost but later on in life it's worth it. thanks agin

I just thought that I would give my little bit of advice too, lol. I am an Esthetician, I personally think that blaching is a waste of time, because as soon as you are in natural light those hairs stand out just as bad as they would if they were black. I think that the best bet is to go with waxing for the time being, until she has finished puberty. Sometimes the change in hormones with cause the more promenant hair growth and there is a chance that it will subside somewhat within the next few years. If she is still having issues in her late teens then you may want to spend the cash for the laser treatments. Hope that helps.

I worry about shaving my upper lip--that it will make the problem worse. I'm kinda anti-girly stuff--totally not into bleaching, or waxing, and I'm sure laser is expensive, so I take cuticle scissors and trim it really close. It doesn't last as long, but its easy and quick.

I had that problem myself-
when i was younger i would bleach it, now that i am older, when i shower i just shave it.

If you have the money there are also laser techniques that will completely remove the hair for good.

Waxing is painful but it isnt horrible.

Forgot to add that certain licensed beauticians do "threading" also. It is less painful than waxing.

I can understand your daughter's issues. There is a cream available at K-Mart made by Sally Hanson specifically for facial hair. You just apply, leave on for 6-8 minutes and wipe off. It works great. Let her do it is my advice. Waxing is painful, but works do. The cream works for longer.

My 10 yr old daughter is getting a complex on facial hair especially above the lip.. Honestly it's not that bad but kids at school will tease. Is waxing or laser the way to go.. Maybe it's to early as she has not reached puberty.. or does it matter ? Dad looking for advice..Thanks
