I worry so much about that issue myself, only with my husband. He has always been naturally thin and could eat anything he wanted. I was always the large one. Now, he's 34 and he still looks good, he is concidered slightly overweight, but he eats nothing but junk. I try to feed my kids healthy stuff and I have changed the way that I cook for us with little changes, but he just continues to eat horribly. I worry that by the time he is 40 he will be in trouble with his heart or something. This is the first time in our 12 year relationship that I have been the thinner one. And now I am 30lbs lighter than him. It really does scare me.

Watch the documentary "Super Size Me" as a family. Although the movie is based on eating McDonald's fast food, I think it has a really good message about the effects unhealthy foods have on your body.

my mom eats good and my dad doesn't. he has gotten so big and we keep telling him the stuff he eats and the amounts he eats are hurting him, he just won't listen. my mom mostly buys stuff that is good for you, but then my dad will go grocery shopping to get what he wants because my mom won't buy it. he's a pasta, meat, potatoe, buttery popcorn, chip, and ice cream eatin kind of guy. is there anyway to show or convince him otherwise????
