I have used the daycare for my 6yr old son at our fitness club and he loves it. But the care does vary depending on the hours and days. I even tried to find the best times and also asked my favorite caregivers what hours and days they worked. Being a home daycare director/mom, I can be a bit picky.

Also, let me tell you from 17+ yrs experience with my own children as well as daycare, biting is a hard habit to break. And it's not all in the caregiver... Many parents like to blame the caregiver for not watching the kids well enough but when a child choses to bite, it happens so quickly that no one can get there in time... often the parent or caregiver even gets bit. So no matter how fast you run, you can't get in between that child's mouth and the other's arm fast enough or even see it being done or know why. Often it is due to the child has had something taken away from them that another took or another has something they want and thier verbal skills just aren't developed enough at a young age to say "give it to me now!" They just bite as thier form of communication. Just say a prayer and hopefully it will pass as quickly as it began. Some children only bite a time or two and others bite for what seems like forever. My oldest was a biter and she drew blood with her bites!! Thankfully she hasn't bit anyone since she turned 17. ha ha!! Huggs to you:)

I think there is some variety of care between the clubs. I went to a 24 hr Fitness that had two adult women and they seemed to do better than the one that had two young adults for caregivers. My kids are older now, so I dont feel as stressed out about that constant supervision. I will say that when my son was 2 he bit other kids in the nursery at church for several months. I was MORTIFIED!!! He did outgrow it though. Eventually. ;)

Kids who bite are passionate, terrific kids...it's a GREAT sign. Your 2-year-old will outgrow this for sure.

You know, I bet your child would love to sit up there on your back while you have a daily walk. Is that possible?

I have used the kids Club while I am working out only a few times and my 2 yr old son really likes it. But Friday when I took him, I had to end my workout and pick him up early b/c he bit another 2 yr old. He has never bit anyone before, but I do realize toddlers can be unpredictable. When I asked the sitters on duty what happened, their answer was not really clear which makes believe they were not really supervising the kids well. I The first 2 times I dropped him off, the staff was interactign with the kids and I felt OK leaving him there. The last time I did, I used another club so maybe the quality of the sitters varies from club to club? Has anyone else had experience with the kids club there?
Anyone's comments/ feedback is welcome
