Very good to hear. I have not been able to loose an ounce over the past two years on any plan, but in just one week BAM 3.5lbs! I am hooked. I do not use the meal plans either. With young kids I try to keep things simple, Cereal, ww toast, bagged salads and whatever fruit is in season. For supper I have whatever I make the rest of the family but skip things like butter and extra helpings. I am also using the kid's dishes. They think it's so funny, but it helps me stick to my portions without feeling deprived. Also, I measure all my portions and I am learning very fast what I can eat. Eating and portioning are getting very easy for me. I don't log my food until kid's nap now because I know I am doing good.
Thanks for sharing your success. It is really nice to talk to people who have already done it. I can't wait.

Jen - YES - I lost all my weight using SP. I didn't follow their meal plans, but I did follow their calorie and nutrient recommendations, and I tracked everyday.
It took ME a few months to see any change, and then one day, I started losing two pounds/week, and I did that for two months. Since then, I keep tracking my food and exercise, and I have maintained my weight.

It's been so helpful to be able to track my food, and not have to think about every little thing I put in. I also KNOW when I am way over, and when I am just right, and I can make adjustments throughout the week so everything evens out.

This is totally a journey, and you can enjoy good food - you don't have to give anything up - you just have to learn to eat in moderation most of the time.

I love SP! I tell all my friends who say they want to lose weight or get more healthy they should come here!

Have a great day!

Jen

Just wondering if you lost all your weight with SP. I have been through the success stories and know that a lot of people have. I just wonder if everyone showing weight loss has done it using this site. I could beleive it if so many have because I just know that this is something I could keep doing forever. I had a big buffet at Pizza Hut on Saturday. I went because my whole family wanted to go and I thought, well it's not like I will be able to give up buffets forever. I really enjoyed myself but had no trouble getting back at it by dinner time. I had a nice salad, a small michealina meal and a bit of popcorn at 7:30 and was okay.
I felt very successful because I was able to bounce right back, when normally that would be enough for me to blow my whole diet. I am starting to see this whole thing as a journey, not a quick fix.

Thanks Mik,

In talking to friends this week I have heard that protein is really great to help you sleep, ie: turkey.
Had another good night last night. I think I might have beat this thing for now.

You might also try a small handfull of almonds (10 or 12) RIGHT before you go to bed. There is just enough fiber, fat and protien to curb your appetite till you wake up in the morning.

but your kiwi and apples sound really good too :D

God Bless,

Thanks for the advise guys. I slept better last night. Didn't even wake up to pee.:) I had a big mug of tea with 1% milk and a small apple cut up and two little kiwi sliced up. I felt so dainty.

OK, don't be losing more than 2 pounds each week.

AND, before you hit the hay, enjoy 5-6 low-fat, low-sodium crackers with a glass of water...it will help!

Your being so hungry for this long is probably because you are not eating enough to support you.

Try eating something high in fiber in the evening (maybe a couple hours before you go to bed.)

Fruits and vegetables, or a small bowl of oatmeal - something small, so that you won't wake up so hungry.

Also, make sure you are drinking enough water - that will help you feel less hungry too. (Although, you may still be up going to the bathroom at nights. :)

Good luck!!!
