Hi Amy,

Welcome to SparkPeople! Try not to let your stress get the best of you. I have seen from personal experience that when I can plan my day in advance and make sure to squeeze in time to work out (even if for only 20 minutes) I feel less stressed, in control and more motivated to stay focused on good choices for myself and my 3 and 4 year old girls.

Have you had a chance to use the food tracker? Maybe set a goal to use the food tracker for two weeks and log everything you are eating. You will be surprised how it all adds up. For me, it keeps me more accountable for my choices.

In the Fitness Resource Center, there are some really great articles and tips on working out at home, involving your children and squeezing fitness into tight schedules. Hang in there and make 2007 a great year!

I hear you!!!

My 5 year old daughter is "spirited" as well.
It's a constant battle for me to maintain control.
Most everything is an argument and going out in public is exhausting.

Normally, at the end of the day I'm so exhausted I feel like a zombie. Often, I snack just to relax.

I would love to talk with someone who knows what I'm going through.

Hi! I am a mommy to a 5 year old boy who is and always has been a very SPIRITED child. He's opinionated and is really starting to make life more and more miserable. Do you find it hard to continue on a good meal plan when the kids are acting up?

I think it would be easier if I had a spouse to help with him, but that's not an option right now. So, we live with my folks and haha...they're high maintenance too.
