Cindi ~ I received your email. I have your phone numbers written down and I googled a map to your home from Nashville and from Paoli, IN. Tomorrow(Sunday) is going to be a little crazy for us so we were thinking we could see you some time on Tuesday as we are heading home. I'll give you a call.

Debbie, I got your email and replied in case you don't get the reply.

Kathy~I didn't realized you had gotten to the lower 140s last year. That's great! So, you know you can do it:) You really have to just want to. I am there. I am ready. I want to get to where i can maintain. I want to be able to enjoy myself on the weekends and stay op during the week and not have to worry about losing. I am tired of it. I want to get there before summer. I really, really, really do!

I had some sugar cookie dough tonight when I was making cookies for my friend that just had a baby. I made them dinner too. Anyway, I told myself I wouldn't have any. Then I said just a taste. Well, you know how that goes, a taste leads to a bite, to another bite, etc. I had some baking in the oven. SO, I hurried and grabbed another cookie sheet and put them on there and stuck them in the oven too. I can resist cookies better than cookie dough.

SO, then I went to yoga. I stayed for both classes 2 1/2 hours of yoga. I haven't done that in a long time. I do go to the gym though. Joining the gym definitely wasn't a waste of money for me. I thought about not rejoining in May to save money right now. But, it's the one thing that I do for me. So, I feel like I should keep it. I don't know. I really do enjoy going though.

Anyway, I think I worked off that cookie dough.

I got home a little while ago and I am exhausted. I need to get to bed because I have been getting up at 6am to do 30 min cardio videos to get going in the mornings.

Have a great evening!

Debbie - Congrats on reaching your goal! That is great. I am way far from mine. I am back up in 150's BLAH!!!! I feel fat & flabby. No, I am fat & flabby. I just can't seem to take an interest anymore. I really hope to get past that.

Cindi - You're doing a great job too. I was there this time last year.

We got snow last night so the schools are 2 hours late opening. I am so glad they didn't close! LOL! Aren't I a bad mommy!

Well, better get hair combed, lunches packed, etc.

Jocelyn - Loved your pictures!

Debbie, yes I did get your email and I emailed you back. I hit reply and emailed you. But, it was sent back to me saying that, oh, I can't remember what it said, but I just sent you another email to see if this one is rejected too. IF so I will copy and paste what it says, so you can see. I don't know why it didn't go through.

Anyway, I will be here. I would love to be able to go, but can't. Danny isn't a skier and I haven't been in over 10 yrs. I would love to go again sometime. I don't know if you have skied in the east before, but it is much different than the west. No powder, mostly ice here. I learned how to ski on ice, so I probably couldn't do powder.lol Have fun and definitely give me a call when you know when you will be in Louisville and we will have to get together. It will be great to see you and meet your family.

It hasn't been rejected yet, so if you get that email, it just says, I am trying this again to see if it works or something like that, let me know and then I will email you my #'s if you don't have them. If you don't get it then I don't know how to email you. Weird, huh? If not, email me your # and I will try to call you and we can try to set up a plan.

Congrats on hitting goal!! How does it feel? So, how long have you cut out the sugar? Is it just since you got the diabetes diagnosis? So, how much did you lose once you did that? I know you were close to goal already, weren't you? What all have you been eating? I like details!

I have been doing my 6 week body makeover, not totally strict, but have been following it and doing cardio almost every day and doing weights 3 times a week. I tell you what, adding weights into the routine 3 times a week really makes a difference. I can see muscles in my upper body. My lower body has a way to go since that is where I carry the majority of my weight. But, still I feel good. I was 143 this morning, but I think that's a fluke.lol I think I am more like 144-145. You know how the scale can be. It will probably be up tomorrow a little w/ how my fluid fluctuates. SO, I try to stay off of it but once a week but it's hard. Especially when I see it going back down. My goal was to be at 140 by Danny's bday, Feb. 5. I don't know if that will happen because the weight is coming off very slowly right now. The fact that I am building muscle is probably the reason. I guess the weight is just shifting. ANother reason I need to stay off the scale. As long as I stay op most of the time, do my cardio and my weights I should be fine.

I got the turbo jam dvds. I love them. A great way to get up and get moving in the mornings. The 30 min. one is great for that.

I need to get back to cleaning. I had no kids and no Danny last night. First time ever. SO, I am on a cleaning binge. Trying to get it tip top from top to bottom. I need a couple more days though to totally do it all, dusting, baseboards, bathrooms, organizing toys, etc.

Back to work,

CIndi

Hi everyone,
Well I have some good news. I finally reached my goal weight of 122! It's amazing what cutting sugar out of your diet will do. lol The diabetes is slowly getting better. My fasting glucose levels are down by 100 in 2 weeks, but still need to come down further to be w/in a normal range. I still have hope. I've read that it can take a couple of months for things to settle down. I started taking glyconutrients yesterday and that seems to helping.

Kathy ~ I'm sorry to hear about the smashed window and stolen purse. That really stinks!

Cindi ~ I will be praying for Evan. Did you get my email? We will be skiing at Paoli Peaks if there is snow on Jan 29th. We are going to drive up the 28th and leave on the 30th. Since we are going through Louisville, I thought we might be able to get together. I will keep Evan in my prayers. He has definitely been through enough.

Joce ~ How are you doing? Please jump on here and let us know.

Becky ~ Are you starting to see results from going to the gym? I was amazed at how much I was able to lose going to jazzercise just 3 times a week.

Michelle ~ Are you frozen down there in Texas? I've been watching all of those storms pass through. Hope you are doing well.

I need to scoot. Busy, busy day.

Hey, Kathy!

I have only had my eyebrows done once and that was back in Oct. when I went to Hollywood. So, I have an appt. on Feb. 3rd to get a massage and facial. I have gift cards I need to use. I think I might make an appt for a cheap manicure and pedicure somewhere else before the massage. I asked if they could fit in a brow wax too and she said it is included in the facial! BONUS!! So, I will have to keep it up after that. I thought I could pluck and keep it up, but for some reason my tweezers won't get those little hairs and now that they've grown back I don't know where to begin. SO, I am going to ask this ladies advice after she does it. I am going to Zspa down there next to the Seelbach. I'll think of you while I'm there:)

Danny is out of town today and tomorrow and will get home Sat. morning. Sarah is supposed to have a sleepover at his cousin't tomorrow night and Sarah at Skylar's(Patty's daughter). So, I am trying to get my Mom to keep Lance. I mentioned it and she laughed, not really saying much. SO, I am going to straight out ask tonight. If I could get tomorrow night and Sat. morning w/ NO kids I could get so much done. I haven't done much around here in the past couple weeks. I still need to get all my Christmas stuff put away. So, I would like to get it all done before Danny gets home. It would be so nice for him to come home to a clean house. I know what you mean about Rick coming home to a mess. So, that is my goal for the next 2 days!

I better get busy. TOday I reorganized my Tupperware cabinets and got rid of stuff I don't use. It is so nice to see organized cabinets. I need to do my cup/glass cabinet too. We really don't need that many cups for just the 5 of us.lol

Off to purge! I have already done the kids rooms and family room, the kitchen is the last room to do for now.

TTYL,
Cindi

I remember now about Evan's hand. I knew you had told us.

I think I finally have everything replaced that was stolen. Still, ticks me off big time!

My house is such a mess. I have to get busy & put some laundry away & clean off the kitchen counters. I hate Rick coming home to such a mess. I had to be at school all morning & then I went to the mall for a little while. I got my eyebrows done. Funny how something so little makes such a big difference!

Talk to you later

Good Morning!

Kathy~that is horrible about your purse. I am very paranoid about that stuff. My cousin's friend put hers under the seat so it wasn't even visible and someone broke in and took it. There was a little girl's purse in the seat that had a lot of money in it and they didn't even touch it, so someone must have seen her put it under her seat. So, now I am afraid to leave it at all. Many times I like to put it under something, guess I won't be doing that anymore. It is such a pain to have to replace everything when that happens. YOu keep thinking what all was in there. I hate that feeling.

Evan was born w/ only 4 fingers and no thumb and his hand is bent at his wrist like his elbow bends.KWIM? Because he is missing that thumb and the bone that goes to it there is nothing holding his hand out straight. SO, the surgery is to straighten that and put a bone I think from his leg up there to straighten it and then maybe move his index finger over to the thumb position because it is easier to go w/out an index finger than a thumb. This is his left hand and the poor baby is left handed. He has so many problems. I hope it all gets better soon. As long as he can have this surgery on Jan. 29th a lot of his problems will get better, assuming there are no complications w/ anything like the last time.

I am so lucky to have a healthy baby, a VERY healthy baby.lol He is over 30 lbs. He is the size of a 2 yr old. He is VERY active and keeps me busy ALL DAY long. I really enjoy his nap times. He always wants to be in my lap or around me. HE is so cute. His favorite word all day long is MOMMA! He yells it even if I am standing right next to him. He is a cutie though and a really good baby. We have a lot of fun. I am glad I have him around during the day, sometimes.lol

I hope everyone is doing well.

Take Care,
Cindi

Hello.

Cindi, Hope Evan gets rid of those infections! What does he have to have done to his hand? I know you have probably told us, but I just cant remember.

You know, sometimes it seems that if something bad isn't happening, nothing would happen! Sat. we went downtown with the kids. Rick had found a really neat restaurant to take them. It was the middle of the day. It was the day of the Ravens & Colts game, we were very close to the stadium, so there were people everywhere. Well, as we were walking from the van to the restaurant, I realized that I had left my purse in the car. My first reaction was to run back & get it, but then I rationalized that it would be ok & left it there. Our van is huge. It is a 15 passenger one, sits up high, has tinted windows & the purse was on the floor between the front seats. With all the people on the streets, I knew it was safe. Well, we returned about 2 1/2 hours later to a smashed window & missing purse. I was just sick & angry with myself for not going back & getting it. Then we realized, they had our address from my license & all the house & car keys. We were frantic. We called the police to check the house & also some neighbors. Fortunately, they didn't come to the house. They could have come & take anything from the house & also all of our cars! What a feeling! We had to have an emergency call with a locksmith. They came & changed all of the house locks. We didn't know what to do about the cars. We didn't even have a key to my car. I had mine & Rick's in my purse. I was able to get one made from the dealer today. I also had to take the van to get the window replaced. Rick also went & got "the club" to put on the cars. It is that bar that goes over the stering wheel. Hopefully, nobody will come & try to take anything, but at least we are a bit prepared now. Our afternoon out to lunch turned out to be very expensive. I swear, I had such feeling about what I could do to that person, it scared me!! LOL! You know, it involved baseball bats & such! LOL

I am certainly ready for some good news.

So, on that note, how is everyone else doing?

Joce, do you have a belly yet?

Cindi, I agree, we should make our resolution to keep in touch. I really do enjoy the friendship of each & every one of you. It really doesn't take that much effort to stay in touch.

Hope to see you all real soon.

Hi girls!

It has been awhile. Our New Years Resolution should be to get back on here.

Debbie~Sorry to hear that. But, luckily you are on the right track w/ food and exercise already. I hope that dr. can help you. Is there not one in Nashville? Or does this dr. specialize in it? I know there aren't many of those, but it seems like you could find one a little closer. Hope all goes well with whatever you decide.

Becky~Hi! Great to see you back. Hopefully, it is to stay this time:)

Kathy~I hope Rick's surgery goes well. Good luck w/ this semester.

Well, I ate a lot over the holidays, but on the 1st I got back on track and have been ever since. I am back down to my pre holiday weight and am still trying to break out of the 140's. But, I feel I have the motivation and dedication to do it this time. If my body doesn't want to go there and I have done all I can to do it then I will accept me as is. As long as I exercise and eat healthy, what more can I do, but just enjoy life, right?

I have a prayer request too. Evan is scheduled for surgery to reverse his colostomy on the 29th of this month. BUt, he is getting ear infection after ear infection. If he has any kind of infection they won't do it. Well, they also want to put tubes in while he is under. So, needless to say they really NEED to do this surgery now. He has to be put under to get tubes to get rid of the infections, but if he has an infection he can't have the surgery. So, we are praying that he is infection free at the end of the month. Then they can reverse the colostomy and do the tubes. Then schedule his hand surgery for the spring. So, keep him in your prayers please.

It is great to "see" you all.

Take Care,
Cindi

(((HUGS))) to you Debbie. I wish you the best. I know diet and exercise are very important and can do a lot to control Diabetes. (I did a research paper on it recently)

Becky - Hi Stranger! Can't say much, I've been a stranger here too!

Hello to Cindi, Jocelyn, Michelle

I am officially "on break" until January 29, but still have quite a bit of school work to do during the break. Some break! Rick is having his back surgery on Feb 13. He will possibly be out of work 8 weeks, but he & the doc feel he will be up & about before then.

Elisabeth had to get glasses. They are ordered & hopefully will be in early next week. Now Hayley is jealous & wants some too! We are still not finished with our window ordeal. I think they have given up calling us.

Joce - I loved your pictures. Makes me want to travel!

Speaking of traveling, I have to go run some errands. I will be back very soon & hope to catch up with everyone.

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great New Years and Christmas. We had a really weird Christmas...celebrated it on the 23rd so the kids could have the whole weekend to enjoy their new things with Mark home. New Years Eve was also Mark's bday and we invited some friends over. We had a really great time.

I do have some bad news and I could really use some prayer. I found out last week that I have Type II diabetes. I have decided to resolve this naturally rather than take a bunch of drugs along with their awful side effects. I might be going to see a naturopathic dr. in the Chicago area to help. On my own, I've been able to significantly drop my blood sugar levels, but I'm going to need some professional help with all of this. It's going to be a journey.

That's about it for now. I hope to see more of you on here soon. I miss all of you.

Hey there skinnies!

Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. This time of year always reminds me of you guys, it was 2 years ago in January when I joined the group! I really need to get back to posting and being accountable.

I've done well with eating the past couple days, and I go to the gym 3 mornings a week. I have the hardest time drinking so much water, but I'm trying.

Looking forward to chatting with you all again, I miss you guys!
Becky
